Welcome to my hell

Damian paused, his eyes narrowing as he processed Elara’s plea. His instincts screamed for revenge, for swift and brutal justice. Yet, here was the woman he cared for, asking him to show mercy to the man who had caused her so much pain. It made no sense, and the conflict raged within him.

“Elara, do you really think Charles will just admit everything and clear your name? He’s a snake. He’ll twist the truth until you’re buried in more lies,” Damian argued, his voice low but intense. He couldn’t fathom letting Charles walk away with anything less than death.

Elara’s breath hitched. She shifted uncomfortably on the bed, still under the effects of her medication. “I know,” she said, her voice fragile. “But killing him won’t solve this. It’ll only make things worse for me... for you. If he dies, all of this will remain unresolved. I want the truth to come out. I want justice the right way.”
