"Now, who is there at this time of the day?" Sorin asked.

"It's Kelvin, sir." The person responded.

"What is it?" Sorin inquired.

"I need to see you, sir." Kelvin answered.

"What for? Can't it wait till tomorrow?"

"I'm afraid sir, it can't.

"Wait for me in the study then. I'll be with you soon.

"Alright, sir." He said, as he walked away from the door, to Sorin's study.

Sorin's parents; Mr and Mrs Zaveri, sat comfortably in their bedroom. One of the maids had just brought them some water and some fruits to snack on for the night. This had been a custom in their house for years. They always had some fruits and clean, clear water before bed.
