Engrossed in his thoughts, Kendrick was oblivious to the footsteps behind him. And he halted, Rosslyn almost bumped into his back.

"Sir, is there a problem?" She inquired meekly.

Kendrick turned around and faced her. "You can go back to your work."

Her expression fell and those questions appeared in her eyes. "Aren't we going to check the security department, Sir?" She asked.

"Not we, Rosslyn." Kendrick dismissed her. "I will go."

"Oh." Rosslyn made a small sound of disappointment before turning around and heading back inside the elevator.

And Kendrick continued walking. She was becoming more and more interested in his affairs every day, almost to the point of stepping out of the professional boundary. He'd once caught her trying to eavesdrop on his phone call. And he had no one to blame but his friend. Devon was a bad influence.
