"You know who I hate the most right now, Hailey?" Sharon's eyes glinted. "She is sitting very close to me. I hate her so much I wish she never exists."

Hailey's eyes widened not because of Sharon's words, but because her fingers were now dribbling with blood. She had cut herself with the sharp knife.

However, Sharon didn't display any sign of pain on her face. Her smile even grew wider.

"Someone once told me you are a jinx." Sharon went on. "You jinxed your mother, even your parents don't want you. You even jinxed Ken and now his parents are mad at him. Who knew I would also fall victim? Did you think telling Ken I was the one that showed his parents the reports would turn out in your favor?"

Hailey took her gaze off the girl's bleeding fingers and her eyes dimmed. She'd be damned if she wasn't angry at this moment. Hell! She was mad. How did Sharon know about her parents? And who was that someone? Who told her those horrible words?
