Hailey knew they were all made up. Kendrick had probably told his parents that he was poisoned by an unknown person on the business trip. They didn't appear to believe him. And they appeared to be mad that he wasn't telling them who actually did it. Even though the allegation was lifted off her head, they still believed he was hiding something from them.

Was Sharon's words true? Had he never lied to his parents?

Kendrick's Mum picked a snack to feed her, snapping her out of her thoughts. She didn't seem to be bordered that Hailey didn't give any answer to her questions. Even if she was bordered, she had masked it with her cheerful smile.
