Chapter 5

Uno's POV

As they ate, he couldn’t help himself but ask his friend about what he had witnessed earlier. They are rivals in all aspects but Killian and Vaugh will not change as his best friends.

"Care to explain what I saw?" He spoke.

Killiam stopped eating and looked at him as if asking what he trying to say.

"C'mon, KB. I know you knew what I mean." He added and comb his short hair with his fingers.

"It's none of your business, Premiere. Stop interrogating me. You're not my mother for Pete's sake." Killian countered which makes him burst into laughter.

"It sounds interesting huh." He sing-song.

"And what do you mean by that?" Killian asked.

"Nah ah! It's just refreshing to see because it's not usual for a man like you to be hot-headed with girls except that woman. But...not bad. She's beautiful and looks kind to look at. But the way how you treat her looks like she owes something big to you." Premier explain then chuckled afterward.

"You know what? It's better to shut up your mouth and just finish your food. So that, we can able to continue the proposal to finish it! Not this! It's nonsense man, and it doesn't matter if that woman owes something to me. You have nothing to do about that. You are out about this thing." Killian seriously replied in annoyance.

Uno burst out into laughter because of his friend's reaction. He knew that he had no interest in women since his fiancée left him before the wedding day. He doesn't trust women since then.

But from what the young man has witnessed to his stone-hearted friend Killian today, it seems that something interesting will be going to happen to his dear friend.

Hailey's POV

Hailey is currently in her boss's office. Her boss called her to be in the office which made her feel very nervous, and anxious because she don't have any idea why he suddenly called her to be there. She froze when she remembered something. A one fine night rush in her mind.

The arrogant Billionare!

She was tense tapping her foot on the floor repeatedly. She was thinking about the possibility that the arrogant Billionaire name Killian complained about what happened last night and much worse complain about what she had done in his car.

She shut her eyes in embarrassment. She could not afford to lose her job because this was all she expected for her daily expenses.

"Ms. Hailey, I called you because I have something important to tell you." Her boss opens up who turns out to be Killian’s Auntie.

"What is all about, Ma'am? Did I do something wrong?" She asked anxiously.

Her boss just smiled at her and shook her head.

"I just want to tell you that you are promoted to assistant manager of my restaurant." She proudly announced.

Her eyes got widened in shock at what she heard. "W-what I had heard was correct right? That I got...promoted?" she asked in disbelief.

The lady sweetly smiled at her and nodded in response. The girl almost cried. She's having a hard time absorbing all the good things that she had heard lately from her boss.

"Thank you very much, ma'am!" She happily said while her eyes is now getting teary. She repeatedly bows her head showing her gratitude to her good boss.

"Don't thank me, Hailey. You deserve to get promoted. You are a hard-working person for how many years so this reward was for you. Anyhow, congratulations, Ms. Hailey!" She happily said and held both hands of Hailey.

"Thank you so much, ma'am! I will do my best all the time in everything I do." She promised. Tears of joy were visible in her eyes.

"Great! Looking forward to that. You can go back to work." She smiled.

The girl smiled too and started walking out of the office. She was overjoyed at the news.

As the days went by, the young woman Hailey was very stressed because she could not forget her debt to the young arrogant man name Killian. She has two days left to pay it off.

The problem is she still doesn't have enough money to pay Killian.

She was very grateful too because she hadn't seen the arrogant Billionaire in the past few days. Only his friend often saw him in the restaurant eating alone or with another man who also looked like his friend.

Killian's POV

The young man was busy signing papers in his office but stop when his secretary open the door and entered.

"Sir, a private investigator is looking for you." The secretary informed me.

"All right then, let him in." he shortly replied which was immediately followed by the secretary.

After a minute, a man entered his office.

"Good morning, Mr. Neilsen." greetings by the private investigator. The young man just nodded in his response.

"Sit down first Mr. Salvador."

The private investigator sat on the available seat. 

"Do you have any update about what I'm asking you to do?" Killian asked first and sit properly.

"Based on the information I gathered, Mr. Nelsein, her real name is Hailey Dominique. She is the daughter of Mina Dominique and Drake Dominique and her family is in the upper class. She is an only child. Due to her feeling controlled and choked by her parents, she left her home and chose to live independently." a long explanation by the investigator.

"Here's everything in the envelope you need to know, Sir," he added as he gave the envelope to Killian.

"Thank you. Let's call it a day. Expect your payment in your bank today." I said.

"Thank you, Sir. I have to go." the man bid goodbye and immediately went out to leave.

Killian looked at the papers inside the envelope. 

'So, you changed your last name so that no one would know your identity? Let's see if you can still refuse my offer if I'm going to reveal your secret, Hailey Dominique. ' I thought as I smiled.
