Mandy just gave Megan a faint smile even though she was a little puzzled by her statement. It was the first time she met her, but Megan seemed to know a lot of things about her. Suddenly, a scene flashbacked in her mind wherein she bumped into a woman during the wake of her mom. Now, she remembered where she heard her familiar voice.
Mandy glanced at Megan. She could not remember her face clearly the first time she saw her in her mom's wake since she just threw her a glimpse at that time. But now, She was amazed at her beauty when she looked at her more closely.
"Do you want to drink?" Megan asked when the waiter approached them with glasses of wine. She took two glasses and handed one to Andrew while the other one to Mandy.
Mandy was going to take the glass from Megan but Andrew quickly grabbed it and gave it back to the waiter.
"She's not allowed to drink." Andrew declared in a low but auth
Andrew walked in the direction of the mansion. When he came in, he ran into Megan, who was supposed to go out. "Andrew," Megan called him in a soft voice. "Did you see my wife and Doctor Taylor?" Andrew asked, annoyed. He was irritated at the thought that Mandy was with Marco. "Yeah, I'll take you to her. Mandy told us that she was feeling sick, so I suggested bringing her to the guest room. Marco was checking her up." Megan explained as she walked. Megan led Andrew to the guest room, where she left Mandy with Doctor Taylor. After a short while, they reached the room. However, when Megan opened the door, Andrew was shocked by the scene he witnessed. He saw that Mandy and Doctor Taylor were so intimate with each other. Mandy was lying on the bed while Marco was sitting on her side with his head bowed down, caressing Mandy's face. Andrew speedily en
Andrew halted his steps when he heard Megan's question. He turned and glanced at her. "I'm going back to work. Thanks for the meal." Andrew uttered, then he walked out of the pantry. Megan was left disappointed. Andrew did not answer her question, which means that he did not want to confirm nor deny it. But looking at his unconcerned reaction, she thought that she might be wrong. Another three days had passed, but Mandy and Andrew were still cold towards each other. They seldom saw one another since they were both busy with their own affairs. Until Friday afternoon, Mandy went home with red bulging eyes. Emma noticed it as soon as Mandy entered the living room. "Madam, are you okay?" Mandy felt a lump in her throat that she didn't manage to utter a single word. Tears welled up in her eyes again. "Madam, tell me. What happene
Andrew got some light on the mystery of Janeth Collins's death. However, he didn't understand. What's the motive and connection of the person in the picture to Janeth Collins? They all know that she was going to die soon, that's why the crime was performed perfectly. It only means that the person waited for the right time to execute the plan. Andrew leaned back against the chair as he held his forehead. He needed to get sufficient evidence to prove who the culprit was. He should think of ways how he would deal with it to find out the truth. However, he could not tell anyone, especially Mandy, about his suspicion and now, his findings of the real cause of death of Janeth Collins. Mandy was so emotional and impulsive. He was certain that she would not stop until she got justice for her mom. After a while, he stood up and went to their room. He saw Mandy sleeping soundly. He sat down beside the
Simon was agitated at how Andrew treated his wife. Charm was also disappointed. She thought that she was wrong when she assumed that Andrew loves Mandy. She also recalled the nasty side of him when she visited his mansion. Hence, she didn't stop Simon from what he's going to do.From the kitchen, Mandy was occasionally looking at the dining area. She suddenly felt anxious when she noticed that Simon was going in the direction of Andrew with a gloomy expression on his face.Startlingly, the sound of breaking glass was heard that caught everyone's attention. Charm and Andrew instantly got up from their seats while Simon halted his steps. Nonetheless, they had no idea that Mandy deliberately shoved the bottle of milk."Ouch!" Mandy blurted out as she automatically bent down when small pieces of broken crystals splattered into her legs while the milk spilled out onto the floor. But of course, she didn't mean to hurt herself.
Mandy could not believe it. She was so drowsy that she didn't open her eyes and thought that what was happening was merely a dream. Or did she really like what happened just now? She was only in denial about the reality that she was beginning to love every Andrew's move? Meanwhile, Andrew couldn't also believe what just transpired. It was the first time that Mandy didn't protest the time he kissed her lips. Surprisingly, she returned to his kiss affectionately, and what amazed him more was the moment she responded to his moves. The next morning, Mandy woke up late as she could hardly go back to sleep after what happened last night. She hurriedly took a shower and went downstairs to have breakfast. However, she was surprised to see that Andrew was still there sitting in the dining hall. "Good morning, Madam." Emma cheerfully greeted her. "G-good mo
Mandy stayed for several hours alone in the dark without noticing how much time had passed. She was thinking about how to escape, but she couldn't see her surroundings. She trailed, groping around until she found a light switch. However, the light didn't turn on. If only she had her phone with her but she had nothing except the clothes she was wearing. She felt hopeless. She was so scared since she never felt alone all her life. She was crying and praying for Andrew to rescue her. Yes, she was thinking of Andrew. She recalled when her mom told her that he would protect and take care of her. Hence, she was hoping that he would rescue her. He's all that she has now after her mom passed away. Oh, wait! Thinking of her mom, she suddenly searched the pocket of her pants. She felt relieved when she found her keychain with a key attached to it. It was a gift from her mom on her sixteenth birthday so she used to bring it wherever she goes.
The following day, Andrew drove Mandy to the cafe. They agreed that Andrew would send and pick her up while they were searching for her new driver. After the incident yesterday, Mr. Lim could no longer be found. After he parked the car back to the mansion, he totally disappeared. Fortunately, he left in the car all the things of Mandy, including her phone. "Thank you for your trouble," Mandy said and turned to enter the cafe. Charm was astounded to see Mandy. She asked where did she go yesterday since she didn't come and couldn't be reached the whole day. However, Mandy didn't tell Charm what had happened. Aside from not wanting her to worry, she thought that it was complicated to explain, especially how she was rescued. She just told her that she was not feeling well,
Mandy glanced at Andrew with a perplexed expression on her face. Their eyes met as Andrew was looking at her as well. Mandy could feel the coldness in his stare that made her more confused. It was only last night when he appeared to be a sweet and thoughtful husband. But now, why did she feel freezing cold the way he looked at her? "Mandy, Megan will stay here from now on," Andrew announced, which made Mandy's forehead furrowed. What's happening? She could not understand why Megan would stay in the mansion. Megan let out a gentle smile. "Honey, where's my room? I'm excited to unpack my things." She mumbled lovingly as she clung her hands to Andrew's arm. "Alright. I'll take you to your room." Andrew replied, then he led Megan to the stairs. 'What's going on? Did I hear it right? Honey? My room?' Mandy had so many questions in her mind. &nb
"Let's get back together, Mandy," Andrew mumbled as he stared down at Mandy. Mandy smirked as she removed Andrew's arms from her waist. "I already told you that I don't want to get back to you." "Don't you want to give our son a complete family?" Andrew asked. "Don't use my son for your personal interest, Mr. Bradford." Mandy retorted. Andrew's brows creased. "It's not for my personal interest." Mandy c
After breakfast, Apollo excitedly waited for his dad on the veranda. He was seated on the steel chair, looking at the gate from time to time. However, it's been thirty minutes already, but Andrew hadn't arrived. "Mom, why isn't daddy coming yet?" Apollo asked his mom with gloomy eyes. He was thinking if his dad was really not coming. Mandy crouched before her son and held both of his shoulders. "He's on the way already, sweetheart." She mumbled and gave him an assuring smile even though deep inside, she was disappointed with Andrew. It's the first time that he would meet his son, but he's late.
"NO!" Mandy hardly denied it. She hated Andrew to the core. She would not let him know that Apollo was his son. Suddenly, Lucas Cruise came and greeted Andrew. "Mr. Bradford, I'm pleased to see you here." Andrew shook hands with Mr. Cruise. "Mr. Cruise, I was glad to finally meet you." He uttered with a warm smile. Lucas Cruise and Andrew have ongoing communication. He secretly called Andrew when he learned that another group of men defended Mandy from the attack during her stay in the Philippines. He was certain that it was him. Although they hadn'
Two weeks later. The preparation for the development of Amanda Island started. Mr. Brown couldn't accept that Mandy would be the top investor for the project. Thus he doubled his investment after the Investor Dinner Party. "Mr. Brown, what do you think of the blueprints?" Andrew asked after their first collaboration meeting. According to the drawings, they planned to build loft garden villas for the guests who wanted privacy, like newly-wed couples to spend their honeymoons. There would also be a two-story hotel to accommodate exclusive guests for mini gatherings, team buildings, weddings, and the like. "It's great! I believe this island will be famous worldwide." Mr. Brown responded enthusias
Mandy was so anxious while waiting for the doctor to come out of the operating room. Marco lost a lot of blood and needed immediate surgery as the bullet hit his spine. After a while, Andrew arrived and immediately looked for Mandy. After he learned what happened earlier, he rushed to the hospital. He was so worried about Mandy. "Thank God you're fine," Andrew mumbled as he hugged Mandy. Mandy pushed him. "Do I look fine? Marco is in the operating room because of me." She muttered as tears welled up in her eyes. She was blaming herself for what happened. If she insisted not to proceed with their itinerary that day, it would not happen to Marco.
“No!” Mandy screamed as she opened her eyes and found that she was in her room. Her body had soaked with her own sweat. She sighed. She’s thankful that it’s only a nightmare. However, she couldn’t go back to sleep. She checked the time. It's two in the morning. She felt thirsty, so she got up from the bed and went to the kitchen to drink.Since it's too early, she went back to her room and tried to get more sleep, but her heart was still beating so fast. Hence, she tried to calm down using the breathing app on her phone. After ten minutes, she closed her eyes again as she started to feel sleepy again.Just a few minutes later, she
Andrew included the private island on the list of locations that he wanted to develop. He thought that it's about time to give that wonderful island the chance to be recognized in the whole world. Nonetheless, he would still maintain its exclusivity for a family vacation and not be open to the public. Obviously, Andrew loved and valued the island so much. He treasured and cherished all his moments together with Mandy there. He also used to go there every year on the exact date of their honeymoon to celebrate the memories. Fortunately, he saved all their pictures together as a remembrance of that wonderful part of his life. After fifteen minutes, the names of the investors willing to invest appeared on the screen. Megan and Mr. Brown were shocked when Mandy's name appeared to b
Mandy could see how the attackers stepped backward to escape. But it's too late. Her bodyguards quickly seized them all. It was the plan. They would start to cut off the tails of the enemy. And to do that, they need to catch the accomplices, for them to confess everything, including all the illegal activities of Mr. Brown. For the past five years, they barely got information about Mr. Brown's illegal activities. He was very cautious with all the people he would trust. Thus, they came up with the plan to strike first. They need to know everything about the enemy and expose their true colors. Moreover, they need to get back the wealth that Mr. Brown stole from Lucas Cruise. Mandy was aware that there were still spies lurking in the dark. She was certain t
Mandy glanced at Marco, who was busy on his phone. She walked to the balcony and continued to talk to her son. She explained that his wish was not as easy as he imagined. However, Apollo was insistent. Mandy had no choice but to promise that on his seventh birthday, she would grant his wish. Luckily, Apollo finally accepted it. Then, she talked to her dad for a while before she hung up the call. In the evening, Mandy and Marco went out of their suite for dinner. They chose the seafood restaurant nearby as Mandy was craving seafood since she was not able to eat last night. "What do you like?" Marco asked Mandy. They were sitting beside each other while looking at the menu.
