Brandon Montgomery's life is like a triangle. It revolves around work, himself, and then ways to have fun. He’s careful enough not to have anything to do with any woman because of the sour taste of love his runaway bride, Lizzy made him go through. He decides to get a break from everything by moving into a new city. Unfortunately for him, his new neighbor, Angeline “Angie” Mathers keeps getting on his nerves leaving him at a crossroads, where he has to choose between letting go of his rigid lifestyle and embracing the new experience of love or sticking with his normal life. “Trust” for Brandon isn’t just a word he is not accustomed to but one he has no interest in when it comes to the topic of women and love in general. Angeline Mathers, who everyone calls Angie is the fun loving, cheerful and sweet girl everyone in her part of Finland loves. She hasn’t had her best of luck with love too, but she’s always open to adventure and a chance for romance once again. When she sets her eyes on Brand it isn’t love at first sight, and the two don’t like each other in any way. But there is always a thin line between hate and love. And once Angie and Brandon cross that line there’s no going back. Misunderstandings will ensue, wills will clash and both Brandon and Angie would be torn between choosing each other or dwelling in their past. It seems like an easy task. But can Brandon bring himself to care for another woman again? especially one he has to trust?
View MoreAngie. "Hey! Wake up ma'am." I heard from my sleep. My eyes are still foggy with drowsiness. My head was resting on something hard, that didn't feel like my pillow at all. A body jerked beneath me and I woke up with a start. "Even in your sleep, you're still trying to get with me blondie." Brandon's drowsy voice distracted me for a moment. His voice was thick and husky. A certain rawness to it like he just woke up from sleep too and I imagined waking up to that voice every morning, after a thorough night of… I paused my hazardous thoughts right there. That was when I realized my predicament. We were tangled up in our sleep, my head resting on his broad shoulders, his palm resting behind my neck. “Your bails have been cleared up." The officer's voice said again. I heard Brandon mutter something along the lines of Thank heavens.I didn't want to talk to anyone right now. I was so pissed. This was all Brandon's fault. If he hadn't called the cops then I won't have missed my shoot.
Angie. "And that's a wrap. Great job Angie! That chemistry between you two is just perfect." Sami beamed at me. I blushed at his compliment.Gabriel gave him a small scowl. "Hey! It's two people who made the chemistry you know? The other guy won't mind a commendation too." Sami only ignored him and walked away. I and Emma burst into rounds of laughter "It's not funny." He said. "Sure, sure," Emma replied at the scowling Gabriel. "Let's have lunch guys. It's on me." I said. Gabriel had a wide smile on his face. The guy enjoyed spending my money way too much. "Stop grinning so much Gabi. It's still the same meal you were going to have either way." Emma enjoyed ruining Gabi's happiness just as much. "Any opportunity to spend Angie's money is a reason to rejoice Em. Now don't be a grumpy ass and let's go eat." I laughed at the duo's banter. Emma and Gabriel had this would they, wouldn't they think going on? And honestly, it was cute to watch. *******We wer
Angie. "You don't know how much I hate him, Em." I groaned while talking to my best friend. She laughed at my predicament, "You don't mean that Angie. Do you hate someone? That guy must be a real pain in the ass for you to loathe him this much." "You can't even begin to imagine Em. He's so stuck up and full of himself." I said. Brandon was working me up more than I'd ever been. "I can't wait to meet this neighbor of yours who has gotten under your always smooth and chill skin Angie," she teased. "Is he at least good-looking? Please tell me he’s at least a good-looking asshole. " She asked. I could sense the smile in her voice the minute she knew she’d cornered me in with her questions. My mind went back to my annoying, grumpy neighbor, Brandon. I couldn't lie to myself that he wasn't good-looking. Fair enough, he was the most good looking guy I had seen in a while. His raven black hair was tired in a low ponytail, pinned neatly behind his head. The intense look he had in his e
Angie. This guy was an incorrigible bastard, with a stupid ego the size of Finland. How dare he? "This is my house Mr. So you are going to have to leave." He gives me a sadistic smile in return, not even bothering to move away from my house. "No can do Princess. I paid for this apartment and I just had a really stressful flight. You need to get out." If I wasn't so pissed with the man for his arrogance and bullheaded nature I'll have enjoyed the husky sound of his voice. He sounded southern and modern all in one. Like a combination of rough and smooth, two impossible things, yet together. His face was impossibly handsome too, well-chiseled with a gorgeous-looking splash of stubble that brought tingles to my skin. I didn't know how he managed to pull off a rough and formal look all in one. His tight body might have been clad in an expensive suit but the rugged look he had going on just couldn't be avoided. He reeked of power and dominance, the kind that could make a girl flip her pan
Brandon.I flipped through the pages of the newspapers, trying my best to distract myself from the crying of this woman's baby by my side. This was fucking first class for god's sake. I was supposed to be comfortable. Not trying to tolerate a whiny kid. As if the child could hear my inner musings, his wailing went up a higher notch and I was finally past my limits. "Ma'am, could your child please tone it down?" I asked politely. The woman gave me an incredulous look like she couldn't believe I was even talking to her. "Well, Mr. I would if I could. You can clearly see that the child's wailing is not in my hands," she replied stiffly. I ran a hand through my hair. “But it's bothering my flight. Isn't there something you could do? Like maybe, feed him or something?" I asked kindly once again. This time the woman's look was of pure contempt, she turned to face me while saying, "You clearly have no children for you to say something like this Sir. Your wife must be very unfortun
Angie.I stared wide-eyed at the man before me. Oh yes, he was handsome. Very handsome at that. And he stood just inches away from me, sharing the same air, lost in each other's eyes, wanting the same thing. To be lost in each others' arms. That was easy, What wasn't easy was holding the laugh that bubbled up my throat at Gabriel's serious expression. I stomped a foot on him...hard. "Ow! Angie?!" He released a sharp groan causing the hold I had on my laugh to loosen. I released a loud very unladylike laugh at his pained face. "Cut!" Sami yelled at the crew. Causing the laugh that was going around to cease instantly. That was how scary Sami was. So why did I distract the crew? Simple. I just couldn't resist. Plus, I made a bet with Gabriel and Emma on who could do the best distractions. This was a good chance. Any slip-up after this and whoever the misfortune landed on was probably dead meat. "Angie, What was that?" Sami turned a cold look my way. Words stuck in my throat
BrandonI would never get tired of gazing at the beauty New York had to offer. It's soul-wrenching eccentricity. The splendor. It was hard to not fall right in love with the city as it was just too beautiful. The man beside me didn't think that as he gave me an annoyed glare. I wanted to chuckle at his sour expression. Years ago he'd been on the other side of this same conversation. Trying to get me to leave the toxicity of this city. Now I was the one trying to get him to let me leave. He didn't have much of a choice though. I was too used to the city anyway. I craved a constant change, at least a getaway from the hurt I acclimated to this place. Born and brought up in the bland city of Boston, I wanted nothing more than to be free of that place. And after that place took away my last family- my dad. I didn't see a reason to be tied down to anything relating to it anymore. "You know you don't have to leave right? Hell! I need you here man." Everett groaned at me. I was seriously
