Chapter Thirty-Six - 'Second Meal'

Lunch was ready in no time. We sat opposite each other, at the large beautiful dining room and ate.

I was disturbed by my thoughts. I still needed some more explanation of the whole hairdressing business saga.

"So Rosy, how about what you told me about earlier?" I began, raising my gaze to her face.

She moved her eyes off the food. Meeting with my gaze, she asked,

"And what about it?" She still had some food in her mouth.

"Where is it located?" I really wanted to know.

"Close to where I live," she replied.

It just occurred to me that I didn't even know where she lived.

"Where do you live? In this city?" I inquired.

"Carnaby street," she said and continued eating.

"Okay." I nodded slowly.

I paused and took a spoonful of pudding.

"So, how about your friend? Is it a guy or a lady?" I continued, fixing my gaze at her.

She was uneasy. Her eyes darted to and fro the whole length of the table, aimlessly. She seemed to be formulating something in her mind. I was too concerned about her composu
