It was Monday afternoon, and Sam had just returned from a meeting when what he had expected to happen for a while now finally happened.

Mrs. Wakefield was at his door, looking more than a little flustered when she said, “There are some people here to see you. I’m not sure what to do with them, Sam. Tracey from downstairs told them to make an appointment first if they wanted to meet with you, but they refused. They want to see you now. They said they’re related to Chan. I mean, I don’t see how, since they look nothing alike but…”

Sam asked, “What are their names, Anna?”

“Amie Natt and Lisa Moore,” Mrs. Wakefield said.

Standing behind him, Jim asked, “Should I go talk to them?”

Sam shook his head. “There’s no need.” To Mrs. Wakefield, he said, “Why don’t you bring them up? I have a few spare minutes to set them straight.”

Mrs. Wakefield said, “Set them straight?”

Sam chuckled. “It’s a family thing.”
