“No I was not, why will you ask that?" I replied, touching my face to see if I had really been crying.

"Your eyes are red and watering. Is something the problem, was it those people again.” Max clenched his fist, anger dancing in his eyes.

“No it was not, I was not crying Max. Nothing is wrong." I turned to Mrs Rolly and said "can please get Trina from her room, she has been playing with her dolls since I got here.”

"Yes ma'am.” Mrs Rolly nodded and left.

"There is uhm… something I need to discuss with you.” I spoke to Max immediately Mrs Rolly was out of earshot.

“What is it about, you know you can tell me anything. You are my wife." Max took my hands that were laid by my side and gave it a squeeze.

“It's not really a problem, I'll tell you later, I just need to gather my nerves." My parents were putting me in an awkward position.
