“Your name?” a woman who’s wearing a dress, has pale lips and short hair asked me. I stuttered. “L-Livia Washington, ma’am,” I answered. “My husband and I can’t produce a child. I need your help and in exchange, I will reward you with money at your price. Just help me…” she said, her face screaming desperation and almost pleading. Without further hesitation, I nodded my head. “Just tell me what you want me to do, Ma’am…” I didn’t know that an offer I would be accepting would ruin the pipe dream I yearned for. Money. I need money. Surrogacy is the only quick way to get a billion dollars just like what they offered. However, things didn’t go the way I liked. “You came out with a woman again?” I busted out in anger after waiting for Archer to come home. He only scoffed, he was supposed to come upstairs yet I held his hand. “Just to remind you, Archer, you still have a wife waiting for you!” His jaw clenched then took his arms roughly. “Then you should have thought of your husband before cheating on me, and bearing someone else’s child, then, Livia!” he backfired, critically narrowing his eyes on mine. Being married to Archer for five years never became easy. I’m tired of it and was tormented with the punishment he had given to me. “A divorce won’t happen, Livia. I won’t give you the freedom you want. This is your punishment,” he narrowed his rough, stoic voice before coming to his room directly.

Agitated and thrilled. That is how I discern. I hoisted my porcelain hand and knocked on the door three times. My heart was pounding hard and my fingers were shaking. Regardless, the door creaked, and a dazzling man showed up wearing only a towel wrapped around his waist as drops of water fell on his hair down to his mesomorphic shoulders and went to his hard stomach.
I bit my lip seeing Archer standing in front. His stern eyes and stoic face greeted me whilst holding the box of the necklace he asked me to drop by.
“Babe-“ I was trailed off when I heard a soft voice that obviously came from a girl inside.
“Hon, is the food we ordered already arrived?” she asked.
I twitched in shock. A woman came out of nowhere, wearing only a bathrobe, then seductively hugged my husband from behind. My eyes drifted to Archer’s hand, it crept on the woman’s waist and then glanced at me.
I know her. She’s the new rising star in the film industry. I saw one of her interviews and the reporter asked her if she already had a boyfriend or a crush in showbiz yet she said she have none. But then, when my husband’s name was spoken out by the reporter, she was thrilled.
I could even remember how Emily Brooke told everyone that she didn’t mind having a one-night-stand with Archer Washington– a CEO, more likely a billionaire; so as my husband.
Emily Brooke. That was her name. Many people admired and wanted her. She’s pretty and curvy. She has Archer's wants in a girl. No wonder they are both together, fulfilling Emily’s wants behind my back.
My head went down, bit my lower lip as the excitement and agitation I had disappeared. Hence, Archer sneered.
“I didn’t know you invited someone, hon. I thought we’ll enjoy the night together?” Emily whispered in his ears.
Archer only gave me a disgusting look; like I was trash he would never look at.
“She’s my assistant. Forget about her existence. I asked her to drop by my gift for you. Remember the necklace you wanted?” Now, his voice becomes sweet when he’s talking to her.
Archer seized the box of the necklace in my hand. Watching how he put the diamond necklace on Emily’s neck mortified me. After receiving the message he sent, I instantly ran to the address of a five-star hotel he said. Thinking the necklace should be given to me gave me hope, yet the scene right now took the illusion I’m yearning for.
“It’s magnificent!” Emily Brooke giggled. Sparkles were seen in her eyes.
On the other hand, my husband wrapped her hands around the rising actress’ waist and then kissed her cheeks. “It’s a gift. I hope you liked it.”
“What? Of course! I’ve been dreaming of buying this but it's always out of stock. I wonder how you made a reservation for this limited-stock jewelry?”
He smirked. “I paid triple.”
Just a few minutes ago, I received a message from Archer to see him. I thought he had already changed his mind. I thought he remembered today is our wedding anniversary and assumed he'd give me a gift turns out the necklace he asked me to get was for his other girl and not for me.
A stab mutilates my heart. It’s painful and heartbreaking. I veered around and let the two enjoy the night even if my heart was crying due to heartbreak.
Supposedly, today is our wedding anniversary. Thinking he’d ask me out, I settled myself ready supposing he’d accompany me to dinner. Flowers, gifts, surprises… How many years since the last time I received those from him?
I thought after what happened to us back then he would now consider our marriage. He would now look at me the same way before; like I was a flower he’d see amid cactuses around me like I was sunshine in his dark and cold surroundings. Yet, turns out I was only assuming because of his mixed signals.
Tears started to roll down my eyes. I dressed myself, put make-up on my face, and made sure to look attractive in his eyes. But all of it was ruined when I got my hopes high.
“Damn… I knew it.” I whispered silently whilst sitting down on the bench outside the hotel.
I looked up at the sky as the tears trickled down my face. My makeup was now ruined, and I bet, I became ugly because of it.
Whilst scanning the five-star hotel they went to, I could pipe dream of myself being happy with my husband again; celebrating my birthday, our anniversary, and delicate dates with him. However, I knew to myself that won’t happen. He would never look at me with those genuine smiles and charming stares he once did.
My love for Archer was beyond the pale. I knew it. I lived five years as his hidden miserable wife. I love him, yes. Even if I do, a person would still give up everything so she could be freed from his tight grip.
I could remember vividly how I asked Archer for a divorce, turns out, we only had gotten into a heated argument and I ended up crying all night.
“You came out with a woman again?” I busted out in anger after waiting for Archer to come home.
He only scoffed, he was supposed to come upstairs yet I held his hand. “Just to remind you, Archer, you still have a wife waiting for you!”
His jaw clenched then took his arms roughly. “Then you should have thought of your husband before cheating on me, then, Livia!” he backfired, critically narrowing his eyes on mine.
Tears wanted to roll down my face. He’s drunk and has multiple kiss marks on his neck. I knew it. She had girls in the club again, making out with them while here I am, waiting for his call or heads up all night, yet nothing came.
“You know what… I’m tired! You should’ve just agreed on divorcing me if you do not want someone to wait for you all night and ask where you go!” I shouted out of my lungs.
Archer’s face remained stoic. He clicked his tongue before his ruthless stern glares narrowed me. “A divorce won’t happen, Livia. I won’t give you the freedom you want. This is your punishment for cheating on me and bearing someone’s child!”
Third Person's Point of View"Are you seriously telling me that now, Ajax? When the event start any moment from now?!" I blurted out as he was behind Livia, caressing her small waist and lifting the dress she was wearing. "Just a quick fuck, please. Just a quick one." Ajax couldn't stop himself from claiming Livia again. Today, the christening of their baby will going to happen and anytime soon, the visitors will arrive one by one especially when everything was settled yet she was cornered inside their room and he was asking for a good fuck. In just a span of a few minutes, Livia already got wet. Her hands are on the table while in front of them is a mirror. Livia could see their reflection on it, especially Ajax's broad shoulders. He was staring at her straight in the eyes through their reflection, and each push and pull Ajax made Livia moan. "Careful, baby! My dress might get torn!" Livia asserted, trying to remove Ajax's hands on her chest. It was a limited edition dress from
Livia’s Point of View ***MONTHS LATER***The whole baby section was filled with women finding better and cute clothes for their a month old baby and above. Anyhow, my eyes set on all the things that I bought at the shop where Steffany and I went to. Samantha and I already gave birth but she was busy with her child. I gave her an invitation to shop with me along with Janice but she couldn’t since her due date is near. It was when Steffany and I were the only ones who shopped whilst Ajax’s mom, Aunt Andrea, is the one who’s looking out to our kids. “That would be $2,789 in total, ma’am.” The cashier asserted. “Here.”“I received $3,000.”Paying everything using my own money was beyond my expectation. I used all of it to buy my children’s needs when Ajax was giving me a monthly budget but I didn’t spend most of it. Instead, I stock it for Andre’s studies as he will begin his grade school where Ajax graduated. Steffany and I have gotten close. Andre doesn’t even want to let her go but
Livia’s Point of View “I can do it!” I asserted whilst taking the plate to the sink. Ajax groaned. It was when his eyes shut directly at the maids who were in the dining area. “What’s the purpose of having a lot of mates when I’m paying them well but you’re doing household chores? Damn it!” he exclaimed before combing his hair using his fingers. I rolled my eyes, didn’t let him do whatever he wanted but instead, I went overboard and then halted him. “Now you’re cursing at me, huh?”His expressions melted. It was when he tried to reach for my elbows but to my anger, I gave him the plate I was holding forcefully whilst our family were watching us together. I was mad at Ajax! “Fine, do it yourself then! Curse at me again and I’ll throw you out of this penthouse!” I irritatedly asserted. “That’s not what I meant! I’m not cursing at you!” My eyes widened hearing the tone of his voice. Now, I can’t imagine he’s shouting at me. My jaw dropped as a couple of silence surpassed us both wh
Ajax’s Point of View “Where are they?” I consulted my friend, Caspian, who was in charge and had his men behind us. The warehouse was dark, but we could see some men around it and seeing that there was only a light on the second floor made me clench my jaw. Before we came here, we made sure that we had a plan beforehand. Otherwise, we’ll get screwed and I can’t risk Livia getting into trouble and severe conditions. “It seems like they are on that spot.” I heard one of them say, “Move quietly.” the leader of this operation stated. Our initial plan was to come inside but let a spy go first to see what’s the condition. Archer was also here, along with the man he brought that literally came from the army. I don’t even know why the fuck I approved of him meddling with this thing when I can handle it myself. However, I just let him be because I could sense his sincerity as long as he wouldn’t execute something that might irritate me. “Use this, Ajax.” Caspian said, giving me the bullet
Archer’s Point of View My blood boils. I was raging in anger seeing the man across me was Archer. He has been on my sight for the past few weeks and frequently joins meetings where I was also there. The moment that the meeting ended, many people started to leave until it was only between Archer and I inside the conference room. I was about to leave when Rue hurriedly came inside the conference room. "Ready the car. We'll go somewhere else." I stated whilst looking coldly at him. "You can't leave, sir. We received very devastating news," he muttered with such worry in her eyes. "Livia disappeared. It was seen in the CCTV that she was kidnapped and the driver was their ally. It seems like Gianna was a spy and we didn't know she would attack us like this!" My jaw dropped. Everything about me crashed knowing Livia vanished. Archer and I couldn't believe that he wanted to conduct an investigation and told me to wait but I didn't wait so I opposed him. Livia is my woman. She's the love
Livia’s Point of View My body was not in its best condition the moment I moved. I feel dizzy… my body was sore as I couldn’t move from where I was. Slowly opening my eyes was the horrific thing I did after the blur vision was set aside. Terrifying feelings crept within my body. Realizing I was inside a cell sent goosebumps seeing the location where I currently was being imprisoned is for those evil who deserve to be here. My feet and my hands were tied whilst the floor was creeping cold to touch my bareback. I took every chance I had to stand up, ogling at every corner I am with and finally seeing a shadow of a woman made me burst in anger. “Take her out.” Her cold gestures made each man from nowhere open the cell where I was. The smell of the place stinks as if I was in a warehouse that was full of dead rats. Gianna showed up in the dark, bearing heavy make up whilst polished well with her not so short elegant dress. Her hair was tied up, whilst she had dark eyeshadows on her e
Livia’s Point of View Staying at home is the most boring thing I’ve ever done for weeks now but at least, it'll make us safe and sound after the countless death threats Gianna is giving me. We know it came from her. The death threats are horrifying especially when I'll just wake up one day to find that there was a box outside the penthouse with a dead rat on it. Horrifying, isn't it? Ajax and I became extra careful especially when it comes to our son, Andre. After Ajax and I fixed our family, he told me to move in completely with him. Andre was happy, he was also pressuring Ajax and me to give him another sibling which makes my cheeks burn each time he says that. Ajax told me everything I should know. He apologized to those days that he was absent whilst I cried myself to sleep thinking about us. I had no choice, I couldn’t get in touch with him and Ajax wouldn't answer his phone. I overthink a lot… but all of the pain I felt has been switched into something more beautiful. “Are
Livia’s Point of ViewI was left dumbfounded whilst Ajax was in front of me. I tried my best to cast my emotions away but I couldn’t. I missed him… I longed for his touch and the kisses we shared together. Looking straight at his eyes makes everything deep inside me to throbb. How many days have we not seen each other? Five days? A week? Two? Damn. “I want to a-apologize first.” I muttered solemnly. “It's not my intention to keep everything to you. I was just waiting for the right time. But if you are really mad, I understand and I have no intention of complaining. Of course, you have the right to know everything. After all, I lied to you despite knowing the truth…" I muttered whilst playing with my fingers. God knows how nervous I am right now. This conversation seemed to be in demand, and both of us really need to talk about this otherwise, we'd lose everything that we both built. Ajax wasn't speaking. He was just letting me squeal my sentiments whilst we're inside our son's priva
Livia’s Point of View I rushed to the hospital without even drinking, eating or even washing my face. I wanted to get angry knowing neither Gianna and Ajax were there for Andre and thinking that Ajax wasn’t there makes me pissed. Andre was rushed to the hospital but Ajax didn’t even go there for his child. His nanny, Steffany, told me that Ajax wasn't answering her call and didn’t even go home last night. “Really? What about Gianna? She's a very irresponsible mother! She should be with Andre 24/7 knowing she was his mother!” I said whilst my blood was boiling. Andre was sleeping in his bed when I came here. Steffany was worried about Andre. He was sick, he caught coughs and colds waiting for his father to come home but he ended up getting a fever. I was beyond pissed when I thought of Gianna who wasn't doing anything just to be here. It was when my hand drifted to his arms that has bruises on it. My jaw clenched seeing that part of his arms and foot were turning purple whilst som
