Chapter 52

“We have a lot to cover this semester,” Tasha said from the podium, with her hands clasped behind her back. “You will do well to make sure you don't miss any lecture and you have to take your continuous assessments seriously too.”

She smiled confidently at the eager faces of his sophomore year students in the dimly lit lecture room.

The air was heavy with anticipation.

Some students leaned forward in their seats, some kept their eyes glued to their devices. A few of them chorused, “yes, Miss. Harrison.”

“Let's call it a day now,” she said, announcing the end of the day's lecture. “I’ll see you next week.”

The students erupted into applause, their faces alight with awe and admiration as they filed out.

Tasha waited until most of them had gone out before she moved to the door. She headed to the alfresco court instead of the staff cafeteria. She still had two hours before her next lecture.
