Chapter 35

The air was different and Charles was beaming up with joy. He wished he could jump up and down in honour of Fiona, David and Leonardo.

But the ways of nature had gotten the better part of him as his eyes were droopy red.

He sat on the couch of their living room and started to doze off, and while in a sleepy state, there was a huge smile across his face even as his eyes shut gradually.

"Fire. Fire. Fire." Cynthia screamed upon seeing her son on the couch.

Her scream immediately cleared Charles' eyes and he was awake. "Fire? In this house? Where?" Charles asked and got off the couch.

"Relax. There is no fire." Cynthia said and sat down on the couch opposite her son's and giggled. "I can't believe you still have the urge to sleep." She added.

"Mother! This move of yours is terrible. I'm very tired. And just when I thought I had the perfect time to rest my eyes, you pull this stunt?" He asked and sat down.
