Chapter 121

It was a cold morning, and the sun seemed to bring hope back to us. Today, finally, Justine was home from the hospital. I sat in front of the house, watching the children play. Justine and Dustine were busy with their toys. Shaira, who was taking care of them, smiled as she watched the children.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. I walked over to the door to see who had arrived. When I opened it, I saw Paul standing there, his face full of worry and fear.

I opened the door, and there was Paul, my long-time friend, standing at the entrance of my house. The morning was light, but he seemed to carry a heavy burden. We hadn't seen each other for a long time, and I could feel the distance between us in the way he stood outside.

"Paul," I greeted him, my voice full of uncertainty. "What do you need?"

"Good day, Eumerriah. Can we talk?" he replied, his tone filled with concern and worry. "I have something important to tell you."

"Come in," I said, stepping aside to let him in. "What happened?"
