CHAPTER NINE!

AURORA

The ray of the sun burned through my eyes and it felt like a hangover. I didn't drink any alcohol last night, so what might this be?

“Maybe it's as a result of your sexual hangover last night,” I heard myself in my head and my mind flashed back to it.

I sat in front of the mirror, looking at my messy hair and flushed face. I look horrible but another thing I'm not feeling is Jacob's touch. I guess last night worked.

Today marks a new beginning in my life. I have always been known as Jacob's wife, today I will be known as someone else.

As my own woman, no boss to tell me what to do or a husband to tell me I'm not good enough for him.

I put on my track suit and got ready to go for a run.

“Going for a run?” Carina asked as soon as she saw me. I'm guessing from my outfit.

“Good morning to you too,” I said to her.

“Sorry, I haven't had coffee,” she said and I laughed.

I could hear her yell at me as I raced out of the house.

“Make sure nobody sees you,” I instructed my bodyguards.
