“You aren't ready?!” I heard Braden's loud voice as he walked into my room.

“I'm going to be in a few,” I said to him.

“Oh really, with you on the bed, man come on we are going to be late for the court hearing,” we walked over to my bed stand, took a remote, then the window opened.

“Do I really have to be there?” I asked, shielding myself from the rays of the sun.

“You have got to be joking,” he said, taking a seat by the window.

“Not really,” I sat on the edge of the bed, “all this feels like deja vu,” I said.

“Hmm,” he said, not looking up from his phone.

“That's all you have to say?” I asked him.

“Look, bro. If you think this isn't the right path, we can call off the hearing and settle this in house,” he said and I sighed.
