I looked at both Carina and Jacob. Carina is trying to pitch us the idea and Jacob seems to be buying into it.

“What do you think, Aurora?” I heard her voice like it sounded coming from a distance.

“What?” I asked, trying to figure out what she said earlier.

“You spaced again. What's going on?” She asked and I sighed.

I stood from the sofa and began walking around the living room.

“This is our only bet in catching him,” Jacob said to me.

“Don't you think I know that?!” I yelled. “I want him out of our lives for good,” I said, pointing at Carina.

“Then what's the problem?” Carina asked and I gave her a look.

“I always had this feeling that we didn't escape on our own,” I said and she looked at me.

“What do you mean? We fought our way out,” she said.

“Yeah, with a bag and bucket against heavily armed men,” I said to her.

“What are you saying, you think Diego wanted us to escape?” She asked and I nodded.

“Well, that is just sick!” She said and sat on the sofa.

I squatted beside he
