Chapter Seven

In a couple of seconds, the elevator stopped at their floor, and the duo walked out.

“I hope you have a lovely day, and yeah, I’ll see you later.” Kelvin’s smile was warm, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he parted ways, heading towards his office. His confident stride echoed through the corridor, his tailored suit catching the light.

“I saw that! Now spill! Don’t leave any detail.” Samantha heard the familiar, high-pitched voice of Katherine beside her, her tone dripping with curiosity.

“Not now, Katherine. I’ve been through a lot today already.” Samantha resumed her steps, her heels clicking on the polished marble floor as she headed toward her office. Katherine, holding her tablet, hustled to keep up.
