Olivia woke up to an empty bed the next morning. A thousand thoughts rolled up in her head as she sat up and stared around the room. Everything felt surreal to her. It felt like yesterday when she met the strange man who had proposed this crazy plan to her... And here she was...
"I have to talk to him," She said as she threw the bedsheet to the side and got on her feet.
The strange man seemed to know a lot more about the master than the maids. She had to at least get a name from him. She couldn't be spending an entire year with a nameless man!
She took a quick shower and threw on the same clothes she had worn the day before. She packed her up into a ponytail and exited the room. The corridor outside was lonely just like the room, but its elegance could cover up for where it lacked.
This strange master was really swimming in money. Every detail in the mansion seemed to be carved in gold. Waoh!
"Oh, I was just about to come to you, ma'am. Good morning!"
Olivia heard the chirpy voice of Mary, the blonde maid and she turned in the direction of the sound.
"Good morning," Olivia said as her eyes fell on Mary's perfectly ironed uniform.
"Master has asked me to take you shopping for some clothes and he is also expecting you for breakfast," She said with her face ever bright.
Olivia was beginning to wonder if Mary could muster up a sad face at all. The lady seemed to always be in good spirits. Yet Olivia could not see the fun in having dinner with the strange man that had refused to give her his name.
"Okay," Olivia replied rather than the fuss going on in her head.
"Great!" Mary announced with a clap of her hands. She led the way to the dining hall and Olivia trailed behind her.
The smell of delicious food filled the air and it got stronger the further they went and Olivia heard the grumblings in her stomach. She had forgotten about food and now that such sweet scents were teasing her nostrils, she couldn't stop the anger pang from hitting her hard.
They soon emerged in the room and the large table welcomed Olivia to a world she had only seen in movies and magazines. The dining hall was a large hall that could house about a hundred people or even more!
The table went on till her eyes couldn't reach. The masked man that had called himself the master, sat at the head of the long rectangular table waiting on her. Olivia felt her hands get dampened as she didn't know how to behave in situations like this.
She was born in a humble home. None of these fancies existed in her life and now she was faced with it.
Her heart felt like there was a time bomb was attached to it as she lowered herself to the first chair she reached.
"Your place is by my right," the masked man growled and she felt the time bomb in her heart begin to tick as she swallowed her anxiety and moved to the chair he had invited her into.
"Thank you," She whispered.
The man turned his focus forward and silence resumed its place on the dining table. It felt more like they were waiting for an examination and not breakfast. The tension was so thick, Olivia could imagine it falling over their heads already. She took a deep breath and prepared to break the silence...
"What's your blood group?" His deep voice suddenly filled the emptiness and Olivia shook out of her head.
"My blood group..." She trailed as her brain started working faster than usual. Why would he ask for her blood group, did he have other plans for her?
He gave her a flat look and she swallowed. She knew this was not the kind of man to mess around with but what could she do?
The maids flooded the empty hall with trays of food and Olivia had to keep her reply till they left. They placed the trays on the table and returned to their stations.
The masked man took a clean place and served himself a slice of bacon and eggs. Then he started eating. He only paused when Olivia cleared her throat ready to speak.
"O negative," She replied and waited for him to continue the conversation but he only nodded and went back to eating his meal.
Was this how she would be spending her life?
"What's your name?" She dared to ask to keep the conversation going. "... please?" She added.
He dropped his fork with a loud clanking and glared at her in irritation. "Weren't you thought table manners?" He hissed.
Olivia blinked multiple times in disbelief. He was throwing that at her? Really?
"I was thought to have small talks with my guests during meals! And at least tell them my name!" She snapped. She had gotten enough of his attitude.
He corked his head to the side and a small chuckle escaped from his throat.
Olivia hoped he would at least give a comeback, but he remained silent yet again. She felt a frustration build so hot within her she could scream out at him.
"What sort of host are you?!" She cried out.
"That's the problem... I am not your host and you are not my guest. Do you understand now?"
"If I am not your guest, then what am I?" Olivia asked. Her voice dripped with shock. What sort of a man was this? He didn't even recognize that he had a guest in the house and that he should behave appropriately!
"You are my worker. I paid you didn't I?" His voice had dropped a tone deeper and Olivia couldn't help but feel a twist in her stomach as he glared at her.
It was true that she was paid for this but she deserved to at least know his name... Right?
She met his gaze and an inner battle began between them. But it didn't last long as Olivia felt her legs begin to weaken. It felt like he could see through her shirt and brassiere. What had transpired between them last night returned to her mind and she could feel his fingers as they had traced around the skin of her breasts. Her nipples hardened and her cheeks flushed.
His eyes darkened like he could sense what he was doing to her. Olivia quickly grabbed the jug of water and started gulping it down to calm the heat brewing in her core.
How could someone be so complicated yet her body reacted this way to him? What was wrong with her All these questions went through her head as she chunked down the jug of water.
"For someone who speaks of manners, I am starting to think taking water from a jug is a common practice with guests..." He said as he wiped the corners of his mouth. His eyes twinkled as he tried to hide his laughter.
Olivia realized what she was doing and she immediately dropped the jug on the table and wiped her mouth.
The masked man let out a low laugh and got up from the table, "you are an interesting little one... I have to give you that," He said as he walked away from her.
She wanted to ask where he was going but her mouth refused to move. On second thought, she let him go. She would only embarrass herself further if she said something else.
As soon as he disappeared from the hall, she glared at the jug and slapped her face. How could she be so silly!?
"You should finish up ma'am, we have a very long day ahead of us," Mary's voice came from her side.
Olivia jumped slightly at the sudden appearance of the maid but covered it up quickly as she picked up her fork and dipped it into her plate of spaghetti. Unlike the master, she had served herself spaghetti and meatballs.
When she was done, she and Mary left the hall and proceeded out of the house where a driver was waiting for them.
"Good morning ladies!" Charles greeted and Olivia narrowed her eyes at him.
All this was his fault!
"There is nothing good about the morning! Why can't your client just tell me his name?" She cried out as she walked towards him.
Charles pulled the car's door open for her and gestured for her to move in instead. She hissed but did as she was instructed. He went in after her and they settled in the back seat while Mary sat with the driver at the front of the SUV.
"So?" Olivia urged as the car started. Was he just going to ignore her like his master?
Charles let out air from his mouth and turned to her. "Olivia, I told you yesterday that I can't do that. It is strictly out of my scope."
"How can I stay with him for a year without knowing his name?" She cried out. "I am sharing a bed with him already! Don't you think it will be nice if I can at least know what to call him?"
"Listen, love, I understand your worry. But I just can't tell you. Now let's talk about your hair," he said changing the topic.
Olivia absentmindedly ran her fingers into her hair as she glared at Charles, "what about my hair?"
"I think we should give you a new look," Charles said.
Olivia twisted a strand of her hair and turned her eyes to the window. She knew she needed a haircut. She just didn't have the time or the luxury to do it. But now that the opportunity presented itself, she could at least enjoy it.
"I know it must be hard given your background. But I will say one thing..." Charles started and Olivia turned to look at him. "Enjoy yourself. Enjoy the luxury and the fancy little things you can get. It is your time to shine," he stated with a small smile.
She suddenly felt emotional as his speech reminded her of her mother. If she knew of this plan, she would pull the sky to the ground with her antics. She would never accept it. Yet, here she was doing it anyway.
Olivia nodded and turned back to the window to hide her tears. There was some truth in what Charles had said and she would have to take full use of it.
"Can I get a phone?" She suddenly asked.
Charles was quiet for a few seconds before he replied, "you know you are not supposed to make this arrangement public right?"
"Of course, I know. I just want to be able to speak to my mum," Olivia said turning to him.
He saw the pain in her eyes and he understood. "It will be done."
"We are here!" Mary announced as the vehicle rolled into the parking space.
They had arrived at the mall. The three of them walked inside and started checking out the shops and boutiques. Olivia couldn't even select as she was overwhelmed with all the beautiful dresses. Mary did all the pickings for her. Charles also helped select a good phone for her and when they were done, they had so many bags that they had to call the driver to come help carry some of the boxes to the car.
When they got back to the house, Olivia let Mary worry about arrangements as she slipped into bed and slept off. The stress she had gone through was enough to break her bones.
Once again, she saw the masked man in her dreams. He joined her on the bed and like the first night, he slipped his hands into her breasts and started to slowly massage them. Olivia arched her back as the sweet feeling flowed through her.
"Hmm," she moaned out loud as he pinched her nipples hard.
Next, her dress was torn off her body and he placed his mouth on her hardened nipples and started to suck and lick them.
"Hmm," she moaned again enjoying every action administered to her.
"Will you shut up!"
A deep voice brought her out of her dreams and she was shocked to find the masked man glaring at her from the edge of the bed. She had her hands on her nipples and her eyes opened wide in shock.
"Take your hands off your nipples!" He growled in a husky voice and Olivia's heart flew out of her body.
Shit!
Olivia stared at him, batting her eyelids in pure embarrassment. Was she really touching herself while thinking of him?It was barely forty-eight hours since they'd been together and she was already entertaining fantasies about him to the point where her brain had incorporated them into her dreams…This was certainly worse than she thought!Goodness, he must think she's on the verge of masturbating! How on earth would she convince him otherwise?!"It…its not what you think."Olivia tried to defend herself. The look in his eyes sent warmth down her spine. Rather than correct her assumptions, the man frowned at her reply. She was poor but she was beautiful too. Quickly, he washed off the shocked look on his face and didn't utter a word.Olivia stepped out and her eyes traveled around her. The trees in the estate, made it look more like a reserved garden for the rich. The greenery was too beautiful to even describe. And it didn't stop there, there was a lake!A clear blue lake sat at the side of a mansion. Compared to the size of the compound, the mansion looked smaller.

The man standing in front of her had a body that was made in the gym and he was naked. She tried hard to fix her eyes on his face but she found herself faltering as he took slow steps towards her.She tried to make out his face under the black mask but the dimmed light in the room rendered her no assistance. He was so confident that it scared her.Who was this man? And what gave him the right to come to her bed like that? She threw her eyes to the bedside table where she knew the button Mary had told her about was. Once she got to it, help would come. She just had to find a way to get to it.“I-I'm asking you a question!“ Olivia yelled trying to stall him as she redirected her position. He seemed to know where she was headed as he closed up the distance between them faster. The room Mary took her to was just as beautiful as the living areas they had passed on the lower floor. But Olivia was still lost in her head. She sealed her mouth and thought of she would live the next twelve months in a house as big as this, yet never see the person to whom she was assigned."Ma'am, I have started the water. Do you need me to help you?" Mary's voice sliced into her thoughts and Olivia moved her eyes to stare in her direction.Truly she needed a change of outfit. The maid in front of her looked much more presentable than she was in tenfold."I'll do it.
