The days following the incident were filled with an awkward tension between Anne and David. Anne tried her best to avoid David, slipping through hallways and ducking into corners whenever she saw him approaching. She buried herself in her studies, seeking solace in the familiarity of textbooks and class lectures. But no matter how hard she tried, David always seemed to find her.

One afternoon, as Anne was hurrying to her next class, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She tensed, expecting it to be David, but when she turned around, it was Rosa, one of her classmates.

“Hey, Anne, are you okay?” Rosa asked, concern evident in her eyes.

Anne forced a smile. “I’m fine, just a little tired.”
