Chapter Eight:Bring Her To Me, Alive!

"You should have taken me straight home, Donovan. What were you thinking?" Angelo yelled at Donovan for taking him to a hospital, when he should have done what was necessary by taking him home. But rather, he was stuck here at an expensive private hospital, without any idea of what was going on outside.

Thankfully, the bullet wound didn't rupture any vital organs or arteries, seeing as he still had the mouth to shout at Donovan, who ignored him and was on call to settle the media team that was going frenzy with the attack at the company.

Angelo sat up on the bed, not caring that the stitch might open up. It was going to take more than just a gunshot to bring him down.

"What are you doing?" Donovan questioned his father, when he saw him going for his clothes.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" Angelo sassed back at his son, before putting on his jacket while Donovan sighed at his action.

Clearly, he could see that it hurt his father's reputation, for being publicly embarrassed both by his name being slammed across every media site, when it had nothing to do with praising his name.

He was angry, but being angry wouldn't help to tackle the issue at hand. The Blacksmiths!

Someone had called the Blacksmiths on them, and they had no idea who it was, what agenda that person had to make if not to kill the Castillo family, and take their business.

The Blacksmiths are a secret organization dealing with mercenaries, more like hired assassins in the underground known for their ruthless ways of killing their victims. The unique thing about them is their secrecy and coordinated way of doing business.

No one knew the face behind the Blacksmiths or their history, they just exist for only one purpose and that's to kill based on any assignments given by their client.

So, instead of the gangs soiling their hands deep into dirty business, that might come to ruin their image.

That's where the Blacksmith comes in.

For the fact that someone wasn't scared to call the Blacksmith on them, while they were at the top of the food chain in the underworld triggered Donovan's temper, but he wasn't acting reckless, just like his dad was doing right now.

So, it all made sense to Donovan that the girl who Ares was dating was a Blacksmith. It was just a plan to kill him and get the rest of them off the face of the earth.

"You can't just leave yet, father." Donovan explained calmly, but the look Angelo gave him made him see reasons why he was biologically related to this man, despite what everyone was saying about his heritage.

Just like him too, his father has anger issues and he knows that once he steps his feet outside, everyone will take a share of his revenge.

The guts of them to attack the big boss of the Jade dragons?

"The house is filled up with reporters, and our men are handling it for now. You just have to rest while i handle this issue." Donovan explained, but Angelo scoffed at his words while shaking his head in denial.

"No, things got personal now that they came directly at me. Attacking Ares' was just a warning shot, all this time it was me they were after."Angelo chuckled darkly. It was as if he already knew who was after him and what they wanted.

Not only was his gang at the top of the food chain, he was also a member of the grand alliance that saw to the gang activities, that were registered under the protection of the Alliance.

The Grand Alliance are members of five people, whose identities are withheld and kept a secret to avoid disorder, but now that they are out to get him. It was obvious to Angelo that a mistake had been made, and clearly a gang was going rogue.

"What do you think they wanted?" Donovan asked, and Angelo turned to face him.

"What do you think it is?" He retorted back at his son, who was solving the math in his head.

"Someone among the Alliance has gone rogue, it's only a matter of time before they start coming after the other members of the grand Alliance. For now, we will keep Ares a secret and call an urgent meeting of the Alliance." Angelo told Donovan. He was now in a serious mood and Donovan knew what that meant.

"Of course, father." Donovan said, and was about to say something else before the door was pushed open, and the heavy scent of his stepmother's expensive perfume filled the room.

"Baby, I was really worried when i heard what happened." She cried, walking over to hug Angelo and wiping fake tears from her caked up face. Donovan looked away in disgust from the two couples. He just didn't see the reason why out of all the girls to marry, it had to be this obnoxious bitch.

Nora was of the same age as him, no! He was older than his stepmother, so anyone could imagine how big of a Casanova his father is, that made him get married to her. While she was just a lucky woman to be married to him because he knocked her up with Ares, and unfortunately, his grandfather had forced him into the marriage.

It was an open secret that his father sleeps around, even while he's married to her. Although, rumors has it that she was no different from his father. All the best for them. As long as Nora gives him the respect he deserves, he has no problem with her.

But as usual, the next word that came out of her lips made him imagine him wrapping his hand around her neck, and choking her to death. But Ares is going to hate him if he does that.

"You couldn't do your job right by protecting your father!" Nora screeched at Donovan.

"Nora, that's enough. That has nothing to do with Donovan." Angelo pulled her away, because he knew how hot-headed his son was, and the last thing he needed right now was these two arguing.

"Mind your words, woman.Donovan warned her.

"Baby, did you hear that?" Nora turned to Angelo, who hugged her while she fake cried in his chest.

Donovan left the room and it's toxicity before he loses control and ruin Nora's face. He stepped outside to find two guards at the doorstep, guarding the room just like he had instructed.

He took a mental note to remember their faces, incase anything goes wrong. If the Blacksmiths are after them, they won't stop until they have achieved what they set out to do in the first place.

The bad thing about this is that nobody knew their faces. A blacksmith might be your lover just like it was with Ares, your best friend including a family member, nobody is safe until you figure out what they want, which was what he was about to do, before his phone started to ring.

"What took you so long, Marco. I need you here." Donovan asked. He hasn't heard from him since morning. That's when he remembered his father's words about a mole among his men, but it couldn't be Marco.

"I did what you asked of me, Boss. The woman with Ares, I have found her." Marco confessed.

That made a smile cover up Donovan's soured expression, because it's been a while since he last visited his torture room, and with the events that'd been happening so far, he didn't know if he was going to let this assassin last long without killing her.

"You know what to do, Marco. Bring her to me, alive."

"Of course, boss." Marco replied, before Donovan ended the call while getting ready to pay that Blacksmith a visit.
