Olivia entered Felix’s family estate gate and it was every bit as intimidating as she thought. She had been viewing beautiful houses owned by rich people but this was different.

It felt different from the stunning homes she had been seeing owned by affluent people. It was just as imposing as Olivia had imagined; it is safe to say that everything she was seeing was overwhelming.

The view is breathtaking, but beneath the beautiful facade is the anxiety and discomfort growing in her towards entering into the grand home that will be her new home.

As the driver opened the door and Olivia stepped out, her gaze swept over the imposing mansion and all around the compound.

She adjusted the front of her dress, trying to shake off the nervousness that had been growing inside her since the moment Felix told her she'd be moving into the family house.

The stately foyer was showcased when the double doors swung open; they revealed the marble floor and ornate chandeliers. Walking into Felix's home, Olivia stood tense for a moment with fear pulsing through her veins.

Rachel was a close distance away from her, looking awkwardly guilty.

There has been extreme tension within the family since Felix's parents learned about Olivia. They are barely keeping their anger at bay and finding out that the girl would be joining their family feels like a slap on their face.

Felix excused himself to take a crucial business call as Olivia was entering, leaving Olivia to deal with his parents by herself.

She had barely walked into their house when Felix’s parents approached her with stern and disgusted looks, Olivia could feel a greater hostility in the atmosphere.

“So, you are the girl who trapped our son in this mess?” Sophia questioned in a sharp tone of voice.

Olivia swallowed hard, trying to find her voice. “That was not what I…..”

“Keep quiet. How dare you lie to us,” Sophia came forward with a look that could freeze water.

“You seduced him, didn't you? You want to hold him hostage through this your bastard pregnancy?”

“No, I swear….” Collins shut her off as she began.

“Don't lie, we know your type,” he said threateningly, his voice sharp. “Gold diggers who believe they can control their ways into wealthy families.”

“I…I never intended for any of this,” Olivia was trying hard to explain, “Felix and I….”

“You liar,” Collins cut her off again as his eyes narrowed further. “You’ve ruined everything for us. Our family’s plans and arrangements.”

Rachel came forward tremblingly with fear in her voice. “Mom, Dad, but this isn't helping.”

They ignored Rachel completely, they focused on Olivia instead. Sophia moved closer while staring at her intently to give an intimidating look.

“Did you actually think that you could just stroll in here and use our son as bait? Seduce him for money?”

“I did not….seduce….” Olivia tried to talk, but again, Sophia interrupted her.

“You did not what? You did not seduce him to have your way with him? You are a fucking bitch.” Sophia was about to slap her when Felix stopped her.

“Enough!” Felix yelled from upstairs. He ran down the stairs and got in between his parents and Olivia.

“This is completely unacceptable. Olivia is my wife and she's expecting our child, and I expect you to treat her with respect.”

Sophia dropped her hand to her side and glared at them with brimming anger in her eyes. “How dare you drag this….this girl into our home?”

Felix moved up from where he stood and walked to Olivia, he placed an arm around her for protection. “She's not this girl, mom; she's my wife.”

“Olivia is here for good, Mom; it's our choice and life.”

“I hope you won't regret this, Felix,” Sophia muttered to Felix.

However, the fight was stopped by a sound from outside their gate.

The staff’s faint voices and a car engine noise were suddenly heard in the compound.

“What's going on out there?” Collins asked curiously. He walked to the window and others followed him in search of who caused the commotion.

The gates opened revealing a sleek car driving up the driveway; its windows were opaque such that no one could see who was inside it.

The unexpected noise and sound of the car had caught the attention of the entire staff who now rushed out to see whose car was causing such commotion.

Felix narrowed his eyes as he watched and somehow found that he recognized something about the whole thing but he couldn't quite place his finger on it. Olivia beside him looked uncomfortable sensing an abrupt shift in his mood.

The car door swung open, and a figure emerged, obscured by shadows and light angles, making the person’s face hard to see.  All that could be seen at first was a tall thin silhouette and a glimpse of crimson hair that cascaded down the woman’ back.

The woman had an air of confidence that no one could ignore. Her black gown clung to her form in a way that suggested power and control. She turned her head slightly, revealing a glass of red lipstick.

Felix leaned forward, his eyes drilling into hers as he tried to identify the person who seemed determinedly headed towards them now. However, it was when she stopped in front of the house's grand entrance that she made herself known.

Just then, the door swung open and she walked inside.

Some hefty men entered, carrying heavy bags. Then she entered and looked around the room triumphantly, she smiled as she cast a cunning look at Olivia.

“What a warm welcome. I see I arrived just in time.”

Her entrance was so dramatic.

“Victoria?” He was shocked that his voice was shaking.

“What are you doing here? You can see that this is not the right time.” Felix said, his face darkened.

“Oh, I think it's the perfect time.” Victoria interrupted, her eyes narrowing as they landed on Olivia.

“I've got some good news.”

Rachel stepped forward, her voice trembling. “Victoria, Please, don't make this worse.”

Victoria ignores her and turns back to Felix and Olivia. She gave them some seconds to create tension before she placed her hand on her stomach.

”I am pregnant.”
