“It’s time to wake up, sleepyhead.”

Ava groaned as she popped one eye open to see Sebastian hovering about her. It was a welcoming sight because she couldn’t remember the last time she had woken up to this. Usually, it was often accompanied by him making love to her for the rest of the morning but she didn’t think that was going to happen now given how tense things still were between them.

“How many hours did I sleep?” Ava yawned as she stretched out on the bed, she still felt tired, and understandably so.

“It’s past 3:00 PM,” Sebastian replied.

“My goodness,” Ava’s eyes widened in surprise. “Why did you let me sleep that long?”

“You looked like you could use it,” Sebastian shrugged. “Kim called an hour ago. She was just waking up as well.”
