Chapter 177

Sebastian was on the verge of losing it. The report from the private investigator was lying on his desk. Jake wasn’t who he was portraying himself to be right from the start.

Sebastian had always been right about him, there was a darkness he knew Jake was hiding behind the fake smiles and glasses and now, the truth was lying in front of him.

Sebastian had no desire to report him to the police, he had enough to deal with already. All he wanted was Ava back home with him and safe, he couldn’t wait for her to get back home and show her why he’d always thought Jake was bad news.

He leaned back in his chair and sighed, if only she would grant him one more chance to set things right. It wasn’t going to be as easy as it had been the first time but he was willing to wait, he only had to make sure she didn’t go out of line as she was hellbent on punishing him.

He had lost track of how many hours he had spent sitting here, reading every line from the report the investigator had sent over. I
