Khloe woke up with a slight headache. She scratched the back of her head then pulled the duvet away from her. That was when she noticed she wasn't in the hospital. Up until then she hadn't noticed where she was. “Where am I?” She mentally asked herself scanning the room with intensity. It was very tidy and looked pretty decent, but it wasn't her room either. “How did I end up here?” she asked rhetorically and got out of the bed. “All I remembered was falling asleep after I heard of Kelly's death,” she said. The thought of Kelly being dead weighed her down and she felt like sobbing but this time she decided not to. “I need to know the truth about everything. From what I heard, someone almost killed me and did something to my sister too. I have to do something and quickly find out who this person was,” she said with determination, marching to the door. She turned the knob, opened the door and poked her head out. The passage was very silent and she saw a clock hanging on the wall
Khloe's heart rate didn't stop even as she walked back into her room. She could still remember, how he held her hands and stared deep into her soul, while saying those words that left her heart dancing to the rhythm of his voice. She merely escaped by pretending to yawn so he could let her be. “That was something,” she said immediately she entered her room and closed the door. Her hands on her chest feeling the rhythm of her heart beat. “Can you not embarrass me like that..” she said to her heart. Then, pushed herself to the bed. Not feeling tired at all. “What should I do now? I can't go back there,” she said, facing the ceiling. She tried to remember her past life but it was only a picture of her dad, sister and her unhappy marriage life. Just few glitches of memory. “How could I have forgotten so much? I just want to know his role in my life,” she said, turning the other side, now facing her table. She grabbed her phone, luckily nothing was wrong with it and it was unlocked.
“Sure,” Arthur replied Khloe which made her smile. “I'll be back. Let me go get my blanket…” he was saying but she interrupted him. “There won't be a need for that,” she spoke underneath her breath. Arthur stopped at his track and turned. “Why?” He asked “Well… You wanted to bring your blanket to sleep where? I wanted you to stay on the bed with me,” she said as her face flushed, her gaze on her legs. Arthur wasn't so shocked about this, to him he just wanted to be with her. “Oh sure,” he said again and they both climbed the bed. Once they were settled in, Khloe said to Arthur… “Thank you,” she whispered. Arthur wasn't sure why she was thanking her but he accepted anyway. Khloe felt calm by his presence and decided to sleep again. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. Arthur couldn't sleep too as he was so excited to have her with him. He carefully placed his hands on hers, then closed his eyes. The next morning, Khloe woke up, checked her room but Arthur was al
“She's a thief. Arrest her,” Faith told the buffed Security officers. While they approached her, Khloe's heart sank and she went into panic. Her eyes darted frantically to everyone and every corner of the room. “Phillip isn't here. He would have helped explain the situation. Or was Arthur lying to me?” Her thoughts ran wild. The security men got closer and were about to handcuff her when a familiar voice called her name. “Khloe?” She turned to where the voice came from and met a face that she hasn't seen in a long time. “Anastasia!” “What are you doing here? And what's going on?” Anastasia asked, looking at the security men. “I came to get clothes. My friend said he owns the place but when I tried explaining it to her, she wouldn't listen,” Khloe narrated. “Ma’am, stop struggling,” one of the buffed men spoke. “Let go of me,” Khloe complained. “Who is this friend of yours and why are they claiming to own the place? Because this place belongs to my cousin,” Anastasia said.
Arthur Cassius was so furious at all of them that he fired them on the spot. Faith and the two security men were sacked immediately. Despite Khloe's plea, he gave her no listening ears. “It would have been better if you'd follow her,” Anastasia said once the commotion had died down. Phillip wasn't exempted too, he was fired on the spot. “I had an emergency meeting,” Arthur answered. They all went to a nearby restaurant to get something to eat. They then placed their orders, the orders came in and they began eating. Anastasia was observing the two love birds in front of her and chuckled. “What is so funny, Anastasia?” Khloe asked. Anastasia shook her head and said, “It's nothing, don't mind me. I am just in awe seeing the two of you. Last time at the hotel, you said you never knew Xander and here you are, having breakfast with him acting like a couple,” Anastasia said, and Khloe's face turned red. “Don't say that. We aren't couples. I am sure he just said that back there becaus
“Did you say something?” Arthur asked Khloe. Her head was still poking out to catch a glimpse of what seemed like Ethan. “Where did he go? Wasn't that him?” She asked herself, as she lost sight of him. “I thought I saw.. um.. nevermind…”Khloe replied to Arthur but decided not to tell him anything. Few minutes later they arrived at the mansion. Arthur alighted the car, slamming it shut which frightened Khloe. “Come on, let's go!” He demanded. Khloe was confused about his attitude. “Hey slow down,” she called after him, trying to catch up with his pace. “Arthur!!” She yelled, making Arthur stop in his tracks as he slowly turned to her. His gaze was static and unreadable making Khloe nervous. The bags felt heavy on her and she didn't know how to call for help. All the courage she had had suddenly disappeared. She doesn't know why she's like this and if she could remember clearly, she's a really strong and courageous woman. Losing her memories made her lose half of her life expe
“Khloe… Khloe?” He called her as he struggled to get her out of the water. He dragged her out of the pool and began shaking her vigorously. He couldn't help but blame himself for leaving her all alone in the pool yet she told him that she couldn't swim earlier. “This is my fault…all my fault. Why can't I just be there for her? I can't seem to protect her even when she's under my watch…What's wrong with me? He said to himself and he tried to figure out how to help her. He checked her breathing and pulse then he found that she was still breathing, but it was faint. “Oh, thank God,” he muttered, then he proceeded to give her CPR. After fifteen minutes of continuous heart compression, Khloe jerked up and coughed out the water. Khloe gasped for air, sucking in a deep breath after all the water had left her lungs. Her hands wandered around, looking for where to hold until she got a hold of Arthur's tank top where she held it so tight until it ripped. "It's okay I'm here now,
Khloe Ferguson's heart throbbed so hard in her chest as her face was now a few inches away from Arthur's thereby making her close her eyes for her shy self couldn't maintain eye contact anymore. After several seconds, she didn't feel anything but rather a slight chuckle from Arthur which made her open one of her eyes to peep at him. She peeked and saw Arthur suppressing his laugh. “What's funny?” She asked, pouting her lips. “You're teasing me, aren't you?” Arthur bursted into a loud hysterical laugh which made Khloe furious. “Why are you laughing?” She asked and he stopped, wiping a stray tear.. “You look cute pouting,” he said. “What did you think I wanted to do? You really can be teased easily,” he commented, making her blush. “Don't do that again,” she stammered but warned. “What? Why? It's fun. Did your stomach do a funny dance? Or did your heart threaten to leap out?” he teased again in a low baritone with seductive words. Khloe got pissed, her face turning red as s
