Chapter Thirty-one: It's Olivia

Jesse's POV

I sighed deeply, trying to keep my frustration in check. “I am sorry,” I apologized to Tamara, who responded with a reluctant nod, her eyes avoiding mine.

“How about we go out on our date tonight?” I asked, my voice tinged with hope. I desperately wanted to make things right between us.

“Okay,” she replied, a faint smile lifting her spirits. I gently pecked her forehead before finally letting go, feeling a bit lighter. I bolted out of my office, ready to confront whatever it is Trevor was talking about.

As I drove to the company, my hands gripped the steering wheel tightly. Anger and confusion churned inside me, a storm brewing in my mind. Trevor better have a damn good reason for interrupting my time with Tamara.

I stormed into the company building, the rapid sound of my footsteps matching the pounding in my head. my eyes narrowed. I pushed the office door open, finding him waiting with a stack of papers in his hand.
