“What did she want?” Avery asked behind her and she turned quickly to see him already dressed for work. Thanking God she had on something with pockets, she slipped the flash drive into her pocket.

“She is a friend.” Zoe replied immediately, forgetting that she had previously said Amelia wasn’t her friend. “She came to catch up, but I sent her along. Drive safely to work.”

She rushed into the house and her room quicky without looking back or wondering if Avery had been suspicious about her quirkiness. Inside the room, she took the tablet Avery left for the purpose of security and inserted the drive into it immediately.
