Adrien

Two weeks. I granted myself a two-week break from work to be with my family, but it feels insufficient as my time here is now concluding. The two nights my children shared with me in my hotel room were the happiest nights of my life. I yearn for more such moments with them, but the distance between Aldovia and Cardenia makes it impossible, as my kids will remain here while I return to Aldovia.

With my return to Aldovia in a week, I must persuade Rosalie to move back to Aldovia within that time frame, even though she might react strongly. Despite the potential backlash from her, I have too much at stake not to attempt it.

While some men shy away from marrying single mothers, others appreciate a ready-made family, and I can't risk leaving her here for someone else to seize the opportunity of making her his wife and becoming the stepfather of my children.

"Sir, are you listening to me?" Norman's concerned voice interrupted my thoughts during our video conference call.

"Yes,"

Rosalie ā€œI must have misunderstood him. It's unlikely he said what I thought he said, right? Reconsider relocating?" I wondered, as I stared at him in disbelief. "Rosalie?" He snapped his fingers in front of my face.I blinked to refocus my gaze on him, picked up my wine glass and took a sip of it, though I resisted the urge to throw it in his gorgeous face. Setting the glass down rather gently, I tried to gather my thoughts but he interrupted me by speaking again."I hope you seriously think about it." He said. "I'm heading back to Aldovia next week, and I want all of you to join me.""Hold on." I lifted a finger. "Let's say I'm not a fool, like you take me for and I understand what you're trying to say; you want me to uproot myself from here, along with my children and return to the country I ran away from?""I don't take you for a fool, Rosalie. Don't misinterpret my words." He refuted. "It won't be possible for me to travel to and from Aldovia to see my children. I want to be wi

Rosalie "Why did you say no to daddy, Mama?" Mason asked. "Don't you love him?" "Don't ask me questions, Mason. I have made my decision and nothing can change it." I declared. "Not all parents get married to each other." "We want you and daddy to be together." Alessandra expressed with a pout. "We want to be with him everyday." "He wants the same thing as well, but what you're asking me to do is impossible." I told them. "I tried it once, it was a total failure and I promised myself that I'll never do it again." "You just didn't get it right the first time." Maya remarked. "It doesn't mean the second time will be no better." Kevin had accurately pointed out that the likelihood of my second marriage mirroring the first was minimal. Adrien, now wiser due to Yvette's betrayal, was essentially using me as a rebound. I vowed never to put myself through such a situation againā€”once bitten, twice shy. "I adore you more than you can fathom, my darlings, but I can't fulfill this for you

Adrien While I acknowledge that I don't have the right to hold any anger or resentment towards Rosalie, I struggle to suppress these emotions. Despite putting forth every effort to change Rosalie's perception of me, she remains resolute in holding onto the cruel image of me from seven years ago in her mind. I'm reaching a point of desperation, unsure of the next step. Leaving my children behind next week is not an option; I won't turn my back on them. "Tit for tat." A voice echoed in my head. "It's your turn to prove yourself to her." "I know that." I snapped. "You don't have to tell me." I had no intention of blaming Norman for suggesting I propose to Rosalie because I understood it was the only way to keep them close. Right now, what I desperately needed was a miracle ā€“ one that could persuade Rosalie to change her mind and agree to marry me. "But miracles aren't in your beliefs," the voice taunted. "Can you please leave my thoughts?!" I demanded. Having a conversation with

Rosalie Despite my anticipation that my decision to move back to Aldovia would be greeted with enthusiastic cheers from my children, I received no such response from them. Instead, they looked at me as if I had spoken in an incomprehensible language, causing my heart to sink to my stomach. "Kids, what do you think?" I asked them. "We'll be closer to daddy if we move back to Aldovia." "But we won't live with him in his house." Maya frowned. "That is what we want." "Isn't it enough that I agreed to relocate?" I tried to conceal my growing frustration. I glanced at Adrien who was just quietly watching us. "Won't you say anything?" I demanded. "Like what?" He lifted a shoulder in an innocent shrug. "I don't know, back me up on this?" I asked. "This is what you wanted, right?" "Yeah, but you already said no and I put it out of my mind." He replied. "Look, Rosalie, I'm not going to force you into doing this if you don't want to. Don't even do it because that's what our children want.

AdrienRosalie had an elusive quality that escaped my understanding. Yesterday, she rejected my explanations, accusing me of turning our children against her. However, today, witnessing her joyfully playing in the park with the kids brought me immense happiness. This morning, I discovered aspects of her I hadn't bothered to learn in the past seven years. I shared details about myself, and she was surprised to find out we had attended the same university without ever crossing paths."Mr Vasanten, can I join you?" Alissa Dawson asked."Of course." I nodded. She sat beside me on the bench, crossed her legs, and with a smile on her face, she watched her kids play. Despite the ongoing divorce process from her husband, she, like Rosalie, was a mother to triplets and also a police officer, as per my knowledge about her."I remember the first day I met Rosalie." She began. "It was at the Lamaze class organized by the hospital where we go for our monthly checkups. I'd actually noticed her bef

Rosalie I began regretting my wish for just one kiss from Adrien as I found myself unable to resist continuously kissing him. I got so caught up that I lost track of when he gently laid me down on the sofa, positioning himself above me to intensify the sensory onslaught. My brain and my body were waging war against each other; my brain was issuing a warning to me to put a stop to this but my body craved more.My fingers hurriedly undid the buttons of his shirt, revealing his impressive torso. I always admired his dedication to fitness during our initial marriage, as he never skipped a day at the gym. As he latched onto one of my nipples through my shirt, gently biting down, I couldn't help but gasp and cry out.My body ignited, heat flooding my core with a desperate need as he continued driving me wild with just his mouth. Succumbing to his unspoken request, I allowed him to remove my shirt and bra; saying no seemed impossible. I'd never been able to resist this man, even years ago w

Adrien Waking up to Rosalie's body pressed against mine felt like a dream come true. One of her legs was thrown over mine, one arm wrapped around my waist and her head rested on my chest. We'd made love twice in the living room before coming upstairs to her bedroom and I'd shown her twice more how happy she'd made me by agreeing to marry me. Exhausted from the intense workout, we passed out by two am, sleeping with our bodies initially turned away from each other but the cold air from the open window must have prompted us to seek warmth in each other's embrace which explained our current position. Planting a kiss on her temple, I eased myself gently out of her embrace and slipped out of her bed to go to the bathroom but her hand suddenly shot out and grasped my wrist, prompting me to look back at her. "Can you please stay with me tonight?" She questioned. "Please." She was still in the realm of sleep so I guessed that she must be having a dream. While the question seemed familia

Rosalie Adrien Vasanten had orchestrated a romantic candlelit dinner for me at one of the country's most expensive restaurants, tugging at my heartstrings. The fact that the entire venue was rented for the night, made me feel like a queen. To top it off, he surprised me with a stunning dress from Opulence, a red off-shoulder knee-length floral embroidered gown I had admired since the first time it was shipped to the store, complemented by black stilettos and exquisite diamond rose gold teardrop earrings and matching necklace that he also surprised me with."How did you manage to pull this off in just a few hours?" I inquired."Money makes the world go round, sweetheart," he winked, asking, "Do you like it?""Like it? I love it," I smiled. "It feels like I'm living in a fairy tale or something.""I have to admit, I was nervous about this," He confessed. "I didn't want this dinner date to be a repeat of the last one.""I overreacted last time, didn't I?" I winced."No, if you'd reacted

Rosalie A week later Upon opening my eyes, I was surprised to find myself in a hospital room. The last memory I had was standing before the fridge with the door open, ready to grab the freshly squeezed orange juice I'd made earlier. Suddenly, a screeching sound inside my head made me clutch it, and the events that followed were a mystery. "Baby?" Adrien's anxious voice made me turn towards him. His hair was tousled, evidence of him running his fingers through it, and he appeared as if he had aged ten years since this morning when I last saw him. "What am I doing here?" I inquired, attempting to prop myself up using my elbows, but he insisted I rest. "You need to rest," He urged. "I found you unconscious in the kitchen, panicked, and brought you to the hospital. The doctor explained it as fainting due to stress." "I'm fine," I reassured him. I studied his face in silence, making him uneasy, yet he didn't avert his gaze as I expected. "What?" He grumbled, arching a delicate eyebr

Rosalie Wet heat flooded my core the moment I felt his soft, warm, silken lips touch mine. Adrien's desire for me permeated the air, his passion evident as he consumed my mouth as if it were the sole sustenance necessary for his survival. As my hands delved into his hair, I opened myself up to him, sensing that all the elusive fragments of my life had finally aligned. There was an unexplainable sense of dƩjƠ vu in this room, in this country, as if we had traveled this path before. Months ago, when he casually inquired about our honeymoon destination, I mentioned France without surprising him. It felt like he already knew my choice, and now, in this moment, I realize I never pondered on it until now. Despite never having visited France, its familiarity eludes me, leaving me unable to pinpoint the source of its recognition. I gasped as his mouth came down to my breast and he bit lightly on my hardened nipple. I sucked in another breath as he soothed it with his tongue and teased the

AdrienDespite promising myself not to propose to her in front of a crowd to avoid potential humiliation if she said no, my mind decided otherwise as soon as I stepped onto the stage. Rosalie A month later Today, November fifth, the day I gave birth to my children, would have been special if I could remember anything. Unfortunately, I don't recall anything about it. Ronald had planned a big party for our children, who were turning six years old. All their schoolmates, along with some kids from the charity foundation co-founded by Adrien and his father, were invited. With more kids than adults, one can easily imagine how loud the party would become. Children were running and screaming with excitement everywhere I turned. Adrien's backyard had been turned into a mini amusement park for their entertainment, and they appeared to be enjoying themselves to the fullest. Initially, I was unfamiliar with Alissa Dawson, but Adrien informed me that he'd invited her and her kids to celebrate with us. Notably, she had triplets also celebrating their birthday today, so I thought it was fitting. Later, Kevin revealed that Alissa, a police officer in Cardenia and one of my fr

Adrien Rosalie and I initially began as friends with benefits, but over the following months, our connection transformed into a deeper bond, leading us to start dating. Despite the initial strangeness of seeing her as my girlfriend after years of being my wife, I was grateful for the second chance she gave me to make amends for my past actions. A few weeks into our relationship, I validated my dad's suspicions, confirming it both in a personal conversation and during an interview with Urban Pulse. Despite the unfavorable reception from many, we remained indifferent, knowing that people were uninformed about our situation. I even issued warnings of legal action against anyone spreading slander about Rosalie, which effectively put an end to the online hate speeches. Rosalie became the assistant to the head of the PR department in my company, which significantly eased our relationship. However, the only drawback was the frequent and extended business trips I had to undertake. At tim

Rosalie "You're smiling an awful lot." Kevin observed, narrowing his eyes at me. "Did something happen with Adrien Vasanten?" "Like what?" I feigned ignorance. "I don't know, you tell me." He chuckled. "You have this dazed look in your eyes like you can't believe how awesome he is. Let me tell you that women only look at men like that after an amazing time in bed with them." He stated. "And you know this because it's the same way Zara looks at you?" I joked, chuckling. "Maybe." He muttered. "Don't change the subject. Tell me something new; are you back together with your ex?" "I don't know." I sighed deeply. "I asked him for forgiveness, he told me there was nothing to forgive because it's what one does when you're in love with someone; his words, not mine." I remarked. "He told me he loves me, I kissed him and one thing led to another." My cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "You initiated the kiss?" Kevin looked shocked. "It was done on Impulse. Adrien Despite knowing it was entirely wrong, I couldn't resist kissing her, and against my better judgment, I wrapped one arm around her waist, lifted her off her chair, and let her straddle my lap. I ripped my mouth from hers, my breath coming in heavy pants. She was just as breathless as she let her head fall back, giving me access to the sensitive skin at her neck as I explored it with my tongue. "Rose, we can't do this." I whispered in her ear as I nibbled at her earlobe, making her giggle. "Why not?" She asked. "I want this and you obviously do too." She let her hand trail down my chest seductively, past my belt buckle and let her fingers brush the front of my pants, making me jerk in surprise. "That is saying otherwise." "You were almost..." I paused, gritting my teeth. "I don't think it's wise." I stated. She drew nearer to me, pressing against me, her chest meeting mine. It dawned on me that she wasn't wearing a bra, and I silently groaned, pondering if she was aware of

Rosalie I was ashamed of myself for behaving like a fool. I was equally ashamed to face my ex-husband, unable to meet his judgmental gaze or endure his triumphant smile saying 'I told you so.' The signs were there last week when Adam treated me curtly and practically threw the documents I had reviewed for him in my face; I should have realized what was going on then. Initially, I believed he was just having a bad day, and his apology at the end of that day reinforced that notion. The following day, our lunch together seemed to erase the events of the previous day. He treated me fairly until today. Yesterday, after he dropped me home, he asked for assistance with a Monday presentation at the hotel, and I agreed. If only I had known it would unravel like this, I would have distanced myself from him. "I left a document in my bedroom. Can you please get it for me?" He asked. "I think it's on my nightstand." "Yes, sir," I said with a smile as I stood up and headed to his bedroom to r

Adrien "Where did you go this early?" Dad questioned as I walked into the house. "The kids were asking for you." "I went to see Rosalie." I mumbled. "Why?" Dad arched a brow. "I went to talk to her about her boss but she refused to believe me. She called me a liar, a manipulator and practically told me that if she were a magician, I would be the only person she'd erase from existence." I responded. Reflecting on our conversation, her words stung more than the slap, and I doubted I'd ever be able to erase them from my memory. It marked the instance when I felt Rosalie's unbridled hatred directed squarely at me. "She said that?" Dad was shocked. "And more." I said. "All I know is, I'm done." I dusted my hands. "I know you love her and you want her to be in this family, but I don't think I can do this. She's happier away from me and I don't want this version of her." "She probably didn't mean anything she said." Dad said in her defense. "She said and I quote; "I curse the day I
