It occurred to Robert that he was joking when he thought that would be the last conversation he would have with Becky. He had observed that anytime she wanted to find her way into his life, she was usually relentless unless he cleared off which is by blocking her. But the way he kept inserting how depression she was in every of their conversation made it difficult for him to end communication with her. He cautioned himself to observe strict boundaries while interacting with her because the last thing he wanted to do was to hurt Aria. He would never be able to stand Aria being hurt, let alone be him being the cause of her pain.
