101: bad habit

Aria walked towards the receptionist desk. She planned on telling Elanne that she would be stepping out a bit but when she got there, she saw Queensley standing in the position where Elanne would normally stand and frankly, she almost thought it was her. Her words died in her throat when she found out it wasn't Elanne.

"Oh hi," Queensley's head jerked towards her direction with something like surprise in her eyes as she fiddled the phone in her hands.

"Hi, where's Elanne?"

"She stepped out a bit and asked me to watch her stand for her..." Queensley explained, unsettled as she looked away. Aria thought there was something off about her that she couldn't quite place. "You want to tell her something?" Queensley stuttered, she was usually articulate and smiley but it seemed like either of those traits had died within her.

"Yes, but I'll just wait for her."

"You look like you're in a hurry, I'll just deliver your message if it's not too personal." Queensley offered.
