Chapter 124: Chance

Shock was understatement as she looked at Hendrix. She was rendered speechless as she didn't know what to feel about that.

“C-chance?” she breathed.

She could feel that he was really determined for that chance he was asking for, by the way he was holding her hands and by the way he was looking at her.

“I only ask for one chance, Margaux. Just this day..” he pleaded.

She averted her gaze as she couldn't look at his brown orbs while he was giving her that intense and penetrating gaze. It was as though he's trying to bewitch her to agree with his request.

“Let me think about it,” she could only answer.

“Think until we reach my apartment,” he replied almost instantly.

Her gaze went back to him but he was already looking out of the window. Her brows furrowed as she couldn't understand what he was thinking.

Suddenly, her heart filled with doubt. The confidence he was showing was making her uncomfortable. She wasn't sure but she thought that he was not just doing it for something to g
