“There you go,” Kim chirps, “all done! Your sugar levels are looking much better today.”

She smiles warmly as she puts the medical supplies back in her bag. “How are you feeling, sweetie? You seem a bit shaken.”

“Is it that obvious?” I sigh and stare into space.
