Chapter Ten

Danielle's POV

The taxi comes to a halt at my destination and I wand him some cash before dragging my feet into the house.

My eyes were heavy with tears and a big frown contorted on my face as I inserted the key into its hole, the creaking sound of the door engulfed my ears as I pushed the door open, sluggishly walking in.

The aftermath of my conversation with Nathan was washing off on me, and amidst all of that was the nibbling feeling clogging my throat. I felt so bad for cheating on Carlos but now it has gotten worse. I was not only cheating on him but sold my soul to the devil, shamelessly.

“What was I thinking?!” I found myself slapping my head, it was too much to take in, Carlos would go back to a coma if he found out I did this to cure him.

Aishhh… I agree that wasn’t the best option but it was the only one I could think of at that moment. I guess I will cross that bridge when I get there.

Shoving off my thoughts, I skipped into the kitchen to grab a bottle of chilled water. I
