Chapter 43

The crowd was still applauding as Chelsea and George left the stage. They walked down the short stairs to the main floor.

The DJ began playing a slow song. Chelsea wasn’t sure what it was. But, she wanted to dance to it just the same.

The dancefloor wasn’t far.

Georgie playfully took her in his arms, making her throw her head back in laughter.

She was about to wrap her wrists around his neck when all of a sudden a hand reached out to grab George’s shoulder pulling him away from her.

“Hey!” George shouted.

“Hey!” Derek said nastily and then he punched George in the face so hard he hit the floor.

Chelsea screamed.

“Derek, no!” a woman screamed.

“If I ever catch you with my wife again, I’ll kill you!” Derek snarled like a wild beast as George picked himself up out the floor.

Chelsea was frozen. Fear had gripped her. Derek’s face was redder than red. She had
