The Oasis

Seventies Night

“I can’t believe I let you talk me into this,” Caitlin complained as the Van Dyke clan and friends entered The Oasis.

Caitlin wasn’t big on nightclubs. But in Chelsea’s view it depended on what kind of nightclub it was. Catherine hadn’t been big on them either until she fell for Cameron Townsend. Their first kiss was in a nightclub.

“If you’re not having fun in an hour, I’ll take you home,” Hector Beaumont soothed. Hector was older than everyone in the group and possibly in the building. But, when Chelsea had approached Caitlin about coming tonight, Hector was at the mansion visiting with her.

“Go, Caitlin. The seventies was such a good time. Chelsea, do you mind if I tag along? I’m a sucker for nostalgia.” Hector had said.

Their mother had matched Hector and Caitlin. Their father was right. He was old enough to be Caitlin – and all of their father. But he was a sweetie. And for an old man, he was sharp minded and seemed like fun. Just
