Alissa was restless when she arrived at the office the next day. She wanted to take a break tomorrow after her trip but realized she has a bit of an unsolved issue at the office which includes her beloved boss turns husband. Or vice versa, whatever. She stood in front of the building and tap her feet a few times not sure whether to just go inside and face the music. She did make a mistake yesterday, leaving Daniel and misjudge him so badly. Well, not that bad since she didn’t get to say anything awful directly at him. Just to the people around her who were willing to listen. Entering the building, she greeted the doormen and proceed to the elevator. She stands inside the elevator, taping her feet away, and bit her lip. She was so nervous about seeing him. She couldn’t figure out how to react in front of him later. The moment she steps outside, she gave a long sigh and march forward to the office in question. She casually passed by a few workers that was very much busy and distracte
Alissa sat on the sofa on Daniel’s couch. She just stares ahead at the window, facing Daniel’s desk and shelves with the skyscraper gleaming under the sun. All her life staying in New York, she never had the chance to appreciate its beauty. In fact, she barely does anything the moment she steps into this city. It was all about finishing her study as much as she can at that age, a proper job, and a stable home for her and her daughter. They fight more than they could have fun but she di
Daniel say they have changed. Not entirely but there is a change, alright. Dinah with her once dolled up golden blonde hair is now almost covered with specks of white hair that almost made her hair platinum than the sun kissed tresses she once wear so proudly. William on the other hand was in his wheelchair. Hair no longer comb to his back and prep neatly like what 80s actors would do. He is a handsome man, no doubt but now , he looked like a sad handsome older man. A sight she would never expect to see in a million years. None of them even looked at her with disdain. It actually shocks her that they were looking at her with surprise and a hint of hope flitters in their eyes. It made Alissa felt uneasy with their eyes staring at her in the five star hotel they are currently in where Daniel took the liberty to rent for half a day. Apparently the owner is his good friend thus, explains how such thing was possible. It was a gorgeous suite with a living room, kitchen completed with a
Going home after work and meeting Dinah and William were excruciatingly tiring. It’s not a surprise. They are the kind of family that would literally steal your breath away with their air of arrogance with money that would last for more generations to come. She keeps asking herself after that. Was it right for her to somehow forgive them so easily after everything that has happened? Being a mother now, she has a daughter to think about. Unlike Alissa, Hope was able to receive the love of her grandparents and a father to cherish her, protect and spoil her with all their love.
“Momma, where are we going?” Hope to ask while Alissa braided her hair while Hope was turning left and right with her dress all puff out. It was a gorgeous pink ball gown that reaches the floor with a glitter front. Its sleeves were an off-the-shoulder design with glitter butterflies seen on its sides so when Alissa stare at the dress once more, observing its beautiful details, she was shocked. It was an exact Cinderella dress worn by Lily James but of course not the actual, legit dress. The one Hope wore was a light pink and its glitters were brighter than the rest of the dress. The netting on the skirt was sheer pink with also some glitters but an extra butterfly was placed on it, scattered around with its wings open and looking very much alive. The little girl inside Alissa was so jealous (lol) but she knew she wouldn’t be caught dead in that dress at that age. It made her reminisce about her wedding to Daniel. In fact, there was no wedding at all. She was forced to wear a k
Alissa arrive at the office later than planned since she and Hope ended up waking up late this morning. After the trip to Disney land, Daniel had decided to book a hotel there and both Alissa and Hope enjoyed another trip the next day. Just driving around wherever his brand new Roll Royce model would take them and enjoy the scenery which is quite foreign to them compared to everyday new york skyscrapers. They even went to Sunset Boulevard, fancy restaurants and Daniel couldn’t stop buying them gifts after gifts that would last for years to come. She was supposed to work that day but Daniel had assured her that she would be fine seeing he owns about 80% of the building from the merge so he can decide whether she goes to work or not. She was so tired and envy Hope for only getting up to get her shower and breakfast before falling asleep again with Sarah. Alissa had to tie her hair in a bun since she didn’t have the time to style her hair this morning. She wore a simple white dress wi
“Hello brother. It’s really great to see you. I’ve been wanting to give you a call but I..” Before he could finish at he said, Daniel storm towards him and punch his face so hard that Clarke staggers back and had to hold the edge of the desk and stare at him. He covers his mouth and pulls back to see blood on it. He tasted metallic-like liquid in his mouth which is not a hard guess to figure out that his lips are cut deeply. “You sure pack a pretty good punch brother. Our body has no difference. Tell me, has she ever called out my name when you fuck her? I did make her scream after all.” Daniel can hear the sob wrecked Alissa’s chest and he sees red. He didn’t know how or when he got on top of Clarke but he was throwing blows after blows on his face without an ounce of mercy. He couldn’t hear Alissa’s scream and Gregory coming up behind him. All he could see was Daniel smiling the whole time, blood pooling in his mouth causing his teeth to stain by his blood. “Daniel stop! You’re
Daniel woke up from the guest room, not wanting to overwhelm Alissa or make her more traumatized by what had happened if he were to sleep with her. He woke up earlier than those two and quickly took a shower so he can serve them breakfast. He had also called Gregory to let the management knows that both he and Alissa won’t be coming that day. Once he took his shower and got dressed, he went to the kitchen to prepare the plates and tea, aka one of the few little things he knew since he enjoy them all the time. More than coffee at least, the subtle test of tea calms him like no other. The doorbell rings when he was down setting up the dining room table so he quickly goes to the door and peeks through the hole and is glad to see Randy. He opens the door to the six-foot-tall Tandy who is holding two carry bags filled with a bunch of Tupperware that is filled with food made by Randy’s wife. Eggs, pancakes, bacon stripes, Asian fried rice, green salads and fruits, and all these fruits l
