Kraius was feeling annoyed because of EDSA’s overwhelming traffic. He had been on the road for too long but the trip he had felt unending because of the long queue of various vehicles. Vehicles that were making horn signals here and there— where it was the only thing he could hear around him. Also, here’s the unmaintained jeepneys that’s emitting foul smoke from their exhaust and people walking on the narrow side of the road which completed the list on how to put him on the bad mode traveling.
Sweat was forming on his forehead and he was already feeling irritated. The coldness from the built-in air condition of his BMW isn't enough for him. What he wanted was to get out of the traffic jam. To get out of that place and get to his destination.
He even got more annoyed because of his thoughts. He hated to be late. His motto in life is, Time is Gold. That’s why he graduated law at a young age. But, he seems to have no choice and waiting was his only option for the traffic to move in EDSA and unfortunately it looks like it will take a while.
Kraius looked at his iPhone. He cursed when he saw the time on its screen. He was thirty minutes late for his meeting with a well-known actress. He had enough confidence to be handsome but sometimes he also get run-out of patience. So when the heavy traffic moved, he quickly pulled the car over and headed to a well -known restaurant.
Krauis’ car stopped at a Chinese restaurant in BGC. He immediately handed his key to the restaurant valet and got out of the car. Carrying his attaché case and cell phone, he walked around looking like an Abercrombie model. Wearing a business suit and tie. Black slacks and shiny loafers.
The moment he entered, he immediately scanned the surroundings. He was amazed at the interior of the whole place. This is not only a typical Chinese resto but also exclusively for rich and prominent people. The ambiance is cozy and neat.
Luckily, he immediately saw what he was looking for when he turned his gaze to the left side of the restaurant. The person sits in a double chair and looks to be leaving. He made quick strides to get to her fast and held her arm from behind to stop her from leaving.
“Sorry, I'm late!" he said and quickly moved in front of her. He smiled when he saw her completely. The famous Laura Moran was in front of him. She looks sophisticated but the simplicity can still be seen.
She was wearing a white blouse and jeans. A simple watch in the right hand. Her long black hair was tied on a ponytail. Also, a light make-up and red lipstick on the lips. Krauis estimated her age and that she was only five years older than him.
"Kraius Montreal at your service," he joked and held out his left hand to her for a hand shake.
"Laura Moran," she replied with a smile.
Krauis smiled to himself. Although he was annoyed with the traffic at EDSA, the beautiful face in front of him made it gone. If he only didn't know that she was married and was going to annul it, she might have been on his list as well.
He loved virgin girls. He prefers innocent women to get in bed. He loved to train them in bed. Pleasuring them like a pro and claiming them senseless. He liked it better seeing them hurting and crying when he’s giving them pleasure when they’re with him in bed. He felt satisfaction in that way of intercourse in bed.
Kraius shook his head with his thoughts. The sun’s heat was still overwhelmingly hot because it was only two o'clock in the afternoon and he’s thinking of such worldliness. He had to brush his mind off of his thoughts and be professional with a client, so he reprimanded himself from thinking those things.
"Of course, I know you!" Kraius answered enthusiastically after a while.
He seriously presented the plan in Laura Moran’s case. It was the same case with her friend who had been also his client, her husband also cheated on her and planned to annul their marriage. And just like before, he will do her a favor again. He knew that she wanted to get away from her husband but she’s still protecting someone out of their marriage.
"Leave it to me, Miss Moran. You made the right choice. Apart from being handsome, I'm also good at turning things around," Kraius said. He is very confident that handling her case will end quickly. All he had to do was to dig deeply and gather information from her husband and his family who are probably part of the powerful people in their area.
It was exactly two hours later when their conversation had ended. They agreed on everything they’ve talked about, even his refusal of the payment she had offered. When there’s nothing to talk about anymore, Kraius told her that he would leave the restaurant first because he still had something important to go to.
Kraius drove another half an hour before he reached his destination. His car entered the parking lot of a tall building located in the center of Makati, the Monterio Empire. Owned and managed by the most sought after bachelor in town. A young billionaire Andrius Monterio.
Everything throughout the building is made of glass. Everyone can be seen through their offices and floors. The interior as well as its exterior are pure white mixed with black. Andrius is obviously fond of minimalist style which Kraius was not surprised because even himself also liked the design. It is light and easy on the eyes.
Kraius felt happy and light while riding in the company elevator. There were few employees who rode with him that kept on greeting him throughout his ride to his floor’s destination. He also greeted them back because it is natural to be friendly, especially with women.
When he reached the twentieth floor of the building Kraius immediately came out of the elevator. He headed towards Andrius' office. The place is very quiet because only Andrius Monterio occupies the whole building. It is also very clean and fresh to the feeling.
Outside of his office was the secretary's desk. Kraius was laughing a bit when he saw that there’s a new secretary again. He was still smiling as he opened the door. As always, Andrius secretaries do not last long.
"What?!" Andrius immediately asked him upon his presence in a hard tone.
Kraius shook his head. Andrius’ office is fresh and well-ventilated but it’s the opposite of his attitude. Furrowed as his blue eyes stared hard at him. His friend was obviously irritated and not in the mood.
"Relax, Mr. Monterio. I have good news for you," Kraius said to him. He was smirking when he approached the young man and immediately sat down in his visitor's chair.
As usual, his table was messy again. It was full of papers piled on the side of the table. Next to its mini shelf is its MacBook. A study lampshade on the other side of the table and a glass full of its pen.
"What is it?" Andrius asked him lightly. But the hidden annoyance was still obvious in his voice. Kraius just shrugged it off. His friend always looked like he carried the burden of the world.
"It’s about your sister Sofia. I will visit San Vicente soon because of a client. Do you want to come?” he asked him.
"Just do your job, Kraius. Take the marriage record out. I will show up if I want to," Andrius said emphatically as he laid both hands on his desk.
He nodded. He has long done with the task effortlessly which Andrius assigned to him. That was the first thing he did as a practice when he was just beginning with his career as a lawyer. He did not fail even though what he did was illegal. What he did was to simply block the marriage of his sister Sofia to an old haciendero. And his new mission, to be a lawyer and get to Zeus Vergara’s favor.
The two talked seriously afterwards. Kraius is Andrius' legal adviser. He gives opinions and ideas on everything he wants to do in his business. Even in the businesses he had in different parts of the world. Andrius was a pro in his league while Kraius was the best in his profession. They were the best tandem in town. Both powerful and influential."Anyway, Andrius. Why don't you smile often? When you frown, you look even uglier." Kraius laughed with his own remarks while he received an evil stare from Andrius. "I'm really very handsome," he added and laughed again."Get out of my office!" Andrius shouted angrily at Kraius. He also pointed to the door of his office.Laughing, Kraius stood up from his seat. He shook his head as he said goodbye to Andrius. He never did buy his jokes on him ever since because he was always easily getting mad at it. He immediately headed out of his office after saying goodbye. He also winked at his secretary before finally leaving the area.He was just g
Rhezi has been feeling annoyed. She looked at her phone and pouted. She even tapped the table in front of her. She sighed. She was very impatient, especially when it was related to food. They were in the canteen of their school. After their last subject they immediately went there. The place was large and there were plenty of tables and chairs. It is also very clean because of its white interior. The wall is also made of glass, so Rhezi can see what’s happening from outside their school to where she is seated. She looked around the canteen. She saw her best friend Mics at the counter, ordering food for them. She’s ahead of the line of students who were also standing and waiting for their turn to order. It’s just that, she will probably take a while before she will be entertained because of the great number of students in their school canteen. "Are you okay, Rhezaliza?”She frowned and looked at her other friend Carmina. She rolled her eyes on her. If she wasn't a Muslim she would h
Kraius was annoyed for a long while. His mother called him for something important. He thought of what it was that she would ask him, but his good mood was immediately ruined by what his mother said to him. However, he could still hear the tenderness of her voice imaginably. His mother knew very well how to make him say yes on her requests. There’s only one word that she would tell him and she has never forgotten it, too. One word that could change his decision. The word handsome. He shook his head as he remembered his mother's request. He left his job just to follow it. To be a fetcher of an obese child at an exclusive school she attended.Kraius looked at his phone. When he called the number given by his mommy earlier, he felt even more annoyed. He didn't get a sensible answer from her. She was only saying yes to everything he said so he turned off the call. He just looked for her on the tracker because he knew that she was in Saint Benilde College.Kraius found her in a waiting sh
Rhezi had laid on her bed for a few minutes already but had been turning herself side to side. She took her SpongeBob pillow and hugged it tight. She’s thinking of what happened inside of Kraius's car when she held his hand. Even until now, she could still feel the warmth of his hand on her. She’s probably not herself to feel that way. Rhezi sighed and pouted her lips. She looked up and saw Kraius' face on the ceiling. She blinked for a time to erase what she saw. That wouldn’t do any good for her. Frustrated by what she feels, she put aside her SpongeBob pillow and tweaked her own hair. She’s going crazy because of that man. She’s only having a crush on him and nothing more. She’s young and admiring someone is normal. When morning came, Rhezi still woke up early though she only did sleep at two A.M. last night. She spent her time stalking Kraius on his Instagram. Gawking his handsome face and fantasizing his gorgeously hot body. However, an eye bag still couldn’t be seen on her fa
“Why?” Tin wonderingly asked her. She also looked at their friend Mics and Carmina who's sitting in the back chair of Rhezi. The two did only shrugged their shoulders. Rhezi pouted her lips. She looked at her friends on her back. “I don’t have an answer in Trigonometry.” The three did a deep sigh in chorus. They were feeling bad because all of them had no answer. They’re only hope was Rhezi but she didn’t have an answer, either. “I thought you were done already because you kept on chatting with me about your crush last night.” Mics chided her. Rhezi pouted. “ If you are engrossed , you will probably forget your responsibility.”“It’s hard to hope so you should stop that Rhezi,” Mics retorted back and took her own notebook. Rhezi frowned. She’s not hoping, though. It’s just that, it was her first time liking an opposite sex and it was Kraius. Now she couldn't do what she needed to do and what was right. She felt strange and confused. She adored him for being famous and successful
Kraius shook his head as the vivid memory came flashing through his mind. He wanted to smack himself because even if it had been years ago, what had happened between them still lingered on his mind. Rhezi’s chubby and blushing face, who had claimed him as her boyfriend, has never left his mind. Kraius sighed when he looked at the paperwork he had been holding. There’s nothing that comes in his mind because he couldn’t think straight so drastically threw it instead above to the table. It was instantly scattered and blended together with the things that had been on the wooden table, too.“Fuck!” Kraius cursed loudly. He also scratched himself with so much frustration. “Fuck to the old man in the mound!” he uncontrollably shouted. Kraius’s secretary hurriedly came inside his office because of what he did. She was wearing a black corporate attire with an inner white blouse. She has dark rimmed glasses on and her hair was styled into a bun. She may have had a formal expression but curio
He left his law firm, the Montreal Laws. He walked directly to his black BMW. He greeted the guard of the building before he rode in his own car. He drove his car faster than usual. He doesn’t care if the various vehicles are heavily congested on public roads. He also tried not cursing though his mouth has been wanted to. He wanted to stay calm and relax. He was more excited about what the young model could do than anything. Kraius had gone to the said condo and came fastidiously. He just gave the valet of the building his car key before he entered inside the elegant hotel. He also shook his head because the hotel was owned by his friend Andrius. That bastard would surely curse at him if he came to know. Kraius only carried his phone and hurriedly got inside the elevator of the hotel. Just like what he expected, the staff knew him the moment he walked in the lobby a while ago. Other than that, he had no problem at all. He only made sure that his foolishness wouldn't reach Andrius'
Rhezi was already feeling bored. Apart from the fact that she was bored with what was happening, nothing had taken her interest inside the gym where she was in. The only noise that could be heard was the students shouting around but her mind wasn't there. She was thinking about Kraius and her argumentative essay. Actually, she could do the paperworks for a few minutes but the girl couldn't understand what pushed her to call Kraius and ask for his favor. Rhezi did not expect, too that he would agree immediately without any difficulty. In the end, what she did was to stalk on all of Kraius' social media last night. "Hey!" "Ouch!" Rhezi immediately frowned when Tin's face appeared in front of her. She has a condescending smile plastered on her lips as she held the ball used in volleyball game. She on her cycling shorts while wearing their PE shirt in white and green combination. Her long hair was tied behind her back and forehead was sweating. "Dumbstruck?” Why don't you join us?"
What does love really mean? When do we know that a certain emotion could be defined as love? How much could a person do and sacrifice for the sake of love? There were a lot of questions flooding Kraius' mind while watching Rhezi slowly walk along the aisle leading to the altar where he was standing. He smiled while his eyes bore unto her. His shoulders were shaking, too. His emotions were too much that he couldn't even stop himself from tearing up. At the same time, he was overwhelmed by the sight of her. Seeing Rhezi walking towards him, Kraius couldn't remember when was the first time he admitted to himself that he was in love with her. However, he could vividly remember when he first saw her smile and pout. That was also the first time his heart skipped a beat, the first time that made his head on a haywire, and the first time he said to himself that he was enchanted with her spell.Rhezi was so beautiful, wearing her vintage wedding gown. The man felt like he fell for her a litt
Rhezi instantly closed her eyes as Kraius' lips touched hers. The woman couldn't explain what she felt when he kissed her. It has been a long time since she wished to be kissed by him. However, fate wasn't on their side. She needed to leave to prove herself and her love for Kraius worthy. They were kissing like no one was watching them. Savouring each other's lips like their life depended on it. The sun that was kissing the sea seemed to be happy for them, too. Even the waves and the sand became one with their hearts, while the eyes that are on them were nothing but sparkling in happiness for the two reunited lovers. When Kraius ended the kiss, Rhezi almost chased his lips just to kiss him again. Her heart knew how she was yearning for him when she saw him standing by the altar, waiting the woman walking along the aisle. She cried at the sight but her heart was filled with happiness when he walked closer to her. "Seni özledim. I-I miss y-you so much, K-Kraius," Rhezi admitted. She wa
Kraius didn't even dare to blink. Even when Arruba finally arrived at the altar, he was still standing still like a statue. His eyes started to water. It seemed like his vision was imagining things again, because from the entrance where Arruba previously stood was Rhezi, shoulders shaking while staring at him. He even cursed himself when his hallucination worsened and saw her walking towards his direction. "What the fuck, man! Move!" He heard Andrius' shout.Kraius didn't understand what he really meant but his feet seemed to have its on own mind that it slowly moved. It slowly walked towards the figure. His vision was blurry but he didn't mind at all. He also didn't care if everyone saw him crying. He was hurting. He was confused. He was happy. Kraius' emotions were too much that when they met at the center of the aisle, he couldn't stop himself from sobbing. His shoulders were shaking too. You can call him gay for acting so, but he didn't care one bit. He cried in happiness, thoug
Seven years later. . . Where do broken hearts go?That has been Kraius' question to himself for the past few years. Love and it's consequences. Does it really have to be so painful and lonely that he couldn't even determine why he was still breathing? Does it really have to be unfair that it still kept on hurting him like hell? While overlooking at the vast ocean of Surigao, the man couldn't help but to curse consecutively. The emptiness and torment that he was feeling was just too much that he wished to stop breathing at all. However, he also wished that the thing that was keeping him sane would be granted sooner. That the impossible would be possible. Everyone knew him as a cheerful lawyrr, but behind his masked persona was an endless torture that his heart had gone through. Like the vast and boundless sea in front of him. The water may look fine and peaceful, but the waves of it still wanted to kiss the sand. To reach for each other despite everything pulling them apart."Are you
Rhezi had the most beautiful dream that night. She dreamed that Kraius and her got married privately. Just them and some close friends. It was a beach wedding and she was just wearing her usual jeans while Kraius was wearing his khaki shorts. It might be the reason why the sweet smile never left the woman's lips. It seemed true that her heart fluttered in happiness. When the woman opened her eyes, her heart beat accelerated and her smile widened when she felt a heavy thing right above her waist. She reached for it so that the embrace would tighten around her. Then, she turned to face him and saw the most handsome man she had ever laid eyes on.His slow breathing fanned over her face but it didn't bother her. She stared at him intently as if her life and death depended on it. Her eyes traced and lingered onto every feature of his face, and it was still perfect in her sight. His striking pointed nose. His thick eyebrows that made him look intimidating. His perfectly shaped lips that s
Kraius didn't waste the moment. He released Rhezi from his tight hug and cupped her beautiful face. There were still tears in her eyes and he didn't waste time to remove it. He wiped her tears using the back of his hand, careful not to hurt the woman in the process. After that, he went closer to Rhezi and kissed her eyes softly.Rhezi immediately closed her eyes, feeling her heart beating erratically. She was hurt and by what she discovered and also guilty. However, Kraius' kisses affected her as the man kissed over her face until it went to her lips. The slow and soft touches of the man's lips on her felt like comfort saying that everything would be alright. That she shouldn't worry so much because he's here to fight for her. That she won't be hurt again because he'd love her without any inhibitions."Sshh, stop crying, Chubz. I hate to see you cry," the man whispered. His soulful brown eyes were on her. His eyes also displayed suffering, just like the woman's."K-Kiss me, Kraius. He
Kraius was busy reading papers when her secretary entered. The man immediately shifted his attention to her with furrowed brows. As usual, his secretary still looked very formal as she walked towards his table. She stopped in front of the table and the man raised his brows. "Someone wants to talk to you, Mr. Montreal," she informed.Kraius' forehead creased. He didn't expect any visitor so the confusion was evident in his face. He looked at his Piaget watch afterwards and smiled lightly. He felt excited and happy at the same time. His tiredness from the continuous work suddenly disappeared. The truth was, he was very eager to go home. It's been a few weeks since he brought his kids in his house, and he could say that there were no problem with the situation. They were a little bit not used to things but they eventually adjusted. His kids were all smart. When he told them the truth, they kept quiet and accepted him as their bioligical father. He cried when they first called him Baba.
Rhezi didn't know how she managed to arrive at Monterio Hotel. All she knew was that she desperately needed to be away from Jericho's mansio after he confessed his romantic feelings for her. She didn't see that coming. She was flabbergasted and along with that was the bitterness that swallowed her heart because of the betrayal of someone she trusted so much. She never thought that Jericho would trick her like that. Rhezi was completely believed that he was gay. She was lost when he was with her. She was vulnerable and broken. She ran away after he found her. The immense pain she felt made her forget the anger. Then, she ran away with him and ended all of her connection to her friends and family. Rhezi sighed as she remembered the memories. She was still unwell but she needed to keep herself sane. The woman was spaced out for a few minutes, just staring at the elevator button inside the building. She didn't know if she should go to that place, but in the back of her mind, she thought
Rhezi was smiling while watching the little boys playing around the vast garden of the Bailey mansion. Dos was swimming in their huge inflatable pool while his brothers were sliding on the huge slide that was connected to it. They were cheerfully giggling while playing with bubbles."Momma!" Dos called. The boy was already fine and treated after Kraius offered his bone marrow for him. After the boy was confirmed to have leukemia, Kraius didn't hesitate to do what he did. He also volunteered to give blood which the woman felt grateful for. She owed him a lot even though they were still not in good terms after they devoured each other that night. It has been two months since everything happened. Two months since Kraius and her have talked about what happened in the past. It has also been two months since they last talked to each other, only acting casually. Two months of accepting and healing. Two months since everything changed. "Momma! Do you want to join us?" Rhezi exhibited a lig
