#90 The Cloaked Man: Part 1

Elsa's POV

When I woke up, a pungent smell welcomed me, jolting me fully awake.

"Where am I?" I could feel my wolf was still struggling.

I looked around. The room was dimly lit and the air was heavy with dust. This was definitely someone's home, but it felt so unhygienic, not suitable for living. I blinked, trying to make sense of where I was.

My body ached, and my wrists were tied to the chair I was slumped in. I strained against the ropes, but they wouldn’t budge. My eyes roamed the room. It was a dilapidated house, with crumbling walls, and a damp, musty smell that made me feel even more trapped.

On the wall, in a corner were three identical dark cloaks hung alongside a mask. So the cloaked man had brought me to his house. I wondered even if I could call this a house. Why would anyone live like this?

I shivered, not just from the cold but from the eerie sense of isolation. Outside the cracked window, I could see nothing but trees, endles
