#54 Anyone but Her!

I took her hand and led her to the bathroom. "Your medication. I think it’s time you stop taking these pills. What you need is focus, training, and meditation. You need to trust yourself again."

Her breath hitched, but she didn’t pull away. "Jake? Are you sure?"

I nodded. "Yes. Now or Never, Elsa."

She hesitated for a moment, but then she agreed, putting her faith in me once again. "Okay." I was feeling more and more responsible towards her.

Together, we opened the cabinet, gathering all the bottles of medication that had kept her numb from feeling any emotion. After closely observing Sylvie for a few days now, I strongly doubted that the medicines were intentionally given to her to suppress her wolf. I had sent a sample and her prescription to our pack psychiatrist. The results should be out soon.

One by one, we flushed them down the toilet. As the last pill disappeared, I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her close. It was a symbolic, important step to cast away the demons
