The day of the wedding finally arrived. I was still in my hideout. Justin, who I had been in communication with, told me how furious my father was and how he had begged him to reach out and plead with me to come back home for the wedding.

Justin had told him that he hadn't been able to get a hold of me for a while. That had left my father devastated. He really wanted to save face in front of his fellow Alpha friends.

He said Claudia was in bits too. She had faith in my father's ability to get me back home and make me change my mind before the wedding, and because of that, she didn't inform anyone, including her father, of what was going on.
