~ Nora
I woke up, stirring my eyes open. The first thing I noticed was the fact that I was not in my room; this was unfamiliar territory. I saw the rays of sunlight sifting into the room from the window.
Jerking up from the bed, I looked around. It all came flooding back to my memory—the events of last night. I smiled. I remembered his touch; I remembered the way he made me feel. My body still felt a bit sore from the passionate love he made to me.
It was my first time!
I had given my virginity to the love of my life after several months of pressure from him.
I felt new, I felt reborn.
I could hear running water in the bathroom and figured out he was in there having his bath.
Klaus, the love of my life, an Alpha's son who had chosen to love an Omega like me.
The water stopped running, and out walked the most beautiful man I have ever set my eyes on, the man my world revolves around. He stood 6 ft tall with blond hair and ocean blue eyes. The chiseled planes of his face with deep set features were perfect. He looked nothing short of a Greek god. I smiled. This was my man; this was my mate!
"Already awake, love?" he said in a soothing sexy voice as he walked toward me.
I sat up on the bed, the duvet around me gently falling off my body, exposing my nakedness. I felt him harden at the sight.
"You are so beautiful, Nora. Last night was the best night I have ever had," I heard the sincerity in his voice.
I smiled shyly and lowered my gaze as I felt color creep onto my face. He still had that effect on me every damn time, after 5 months of knowing each other. I had met him for the very first time at a party I had attended with Grace, my best friend. I was drawn to him; it was love at first sight. We also discovered that night that we were mates.
Unfortunately, we found out our parents were Alphas of packs that have been at loggerheads with each other due to a prophecy that claimed Klaus' father's entire pack would be wiped away by my mother.
My mum, who was from the Claridian Clan, was the greatest witch and high priestess that has ever lived, the last of her bloodline. She got married to the alpha of the Calypso Pack, my father, and birthed three kids, my two siblings and me. I, being the first child, was the next in line to become the high priestess.
"The kind of power that resides inside of you, Nora, is one like no other. The world is yet to see a witch as powerful as you. You are a hybrid, stronger than all werewolves combined," my mum would say to me whenever I came home crying or complaining about being labeled "cursed" by my mates, especially during social gatherings, for being an omega born to an Alpha.
I always smiled and brushed her off, believing she was only lying to make me feel better. In my eyes, no one would ever take her place as the greatest witch.
Our identities as witches were hidden from the world except my father and his beta; my mother wanted it to remain that way. She feared what might happen if members of the pack got to know about it. Witches were powerful creatures, more powerful than werewolves; she didn't want to raise fear in the hearts of members of our pack.
"We would only use our powers for good, to protect our pack if a need for it arises," my mum would always say to my siblings and me with a smile on her face.
My parents were lovers of peace, which was why I believed they would never intentionally harm anyone.
Klaus trailed kisses on my body, pulling me from my thoughts as desire coursed through my entire body. I ran my hand through his hair urging him closer, inching myself more towards him, wanting him to do crazy things to me the way he had done last night.
He groaned and lifted his gaze to mine. The desire in his eyes mirroring my own.
"Mark me, Klaus, mark me as your mate now," I begged. I wanted it to be sealed; I wanted to become his, that way nobody would be able to stop our union, not even our parents.
He searched my eyes; I could see the hesitation in his, shaking his head, he declined my request. "I would do that when the time is right, Nora. I want to follow due procedure. I want our parents to accept us first," he raised his hand to my face, caressing my temples softly. "It would happen very soon," he smiled.
Reaching for his bag, he brought out the map I had given him last night, which had a detailed plan of our entire pack house and the locations of our ancient relics and valuable gemstones
He raised it in the air. "This will play a vital role in all this. Once my father knows I have it and can be able to retrieve and destroy that precious relic the prophecy revealed is so powerful and can be used to wipe out our entire pack, he promised he would approve of our union and make peace with your father as he won't have any need to look over his shoulders again," he sat beside me on the bed and planted a kiss on my lips. "We would finally be together, my love."
I smiled at him and wrapped my arms around his neck. "There is nothing I would want more than that," I whispered into his ear.
I trusted Klaus with my life. If giving him the map to retrieve and destroy the ancient relic was all his father needed to give us his blessings, then I would do that a million times and more. After all, the relic has been buried for years and is absolutely of no threat or use to us.
I slowly released him from my embrace. "I really have to get going now, but I will be back in the evening. Wait here for me, my love, okay?" he cocked a brow awaiting my response. I chuckled and nodded.
"I will be here waiting."
I had told my parents I was going to stay with my best friend, Grace, for two nights. I had also told her to cover up for me in case they called her to check on me. She had agreed. Grace was one of the few persons who always had my back.
He smiled, got up from the bed, and put on his shirt and shorts.
"I love you, Klaus," I said shyly.
He bent over me, planting a subtle kiss on my forehead. "I love you too, Nora."
With that, he left.
My parents, younger siblings who were both Alphas, and Klaus were the only ones who made this life bearable. I smiled as I thought of Klaus. I was smitten for this man! We are just three years apart. Perfectly made for each other.
I refreshed and got dressed, then stepped out to get myself something to eat.
Night soon came. I got really excited. I waited and waited for Klaus, but he didn't come.
"Relax, Nora. He promised he would come, so he definitely will," my wolf, kara, said.
"You are right, he will. Klaus has never failed to keep a promise," I lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling, patiently waiting for him to come, fantasizing about how he was going to worship my body just like he did the previous night.
I squirmed in excitement as desire flooded over me at the thought.
Two hours passed, three, yet there was no Klaus. I became really worried. I dialed his line, but it didn't go through.
My heart sank.
Could something have happened? Did his father find out he was coming to see me and prevented him from leaving the house? That was likely the case.
"What if it wasn't?" my wolf kara asked in fright.
"What if something bad has happened to our mate?" she whimpered.
"Stop it, kara! Nothing can happen to Klaus! He is fine!" Even though I had spoken the words out loud, I couldn't stop the tiny voice in my head telling me that something was wrong. I paced around the room, my mind a chaotic mess.
Just then, my phone chimed. I picked it up. It was a text message from Klaus.
I frantically opened my message inbox to read what it said.
"I am sorry, Love. I can't come tonight. Something came up. Go back home tomorrow morning."
I heaved a sigh and fell to a squat. I felt a mix of relief and disappointment. Relief because he was safe and disappointment because he couldn't come.
The next morning, I woke up, refreshed, wore my clothes, and headed home in my white Porsche car, which I had carefully hidden miles away from the motel that held memories of Klaus and me.
Upon arriving at our pack house, I could hear the sound of people wailing bitterly in front of our house.
My heart plummeted into my stomach. What could be wrong? I immediately got out of the car and approached them, weaving my way through the crowd who threw gazes of animosity my way.
"The cursed omega is back," I heard one person say.
"She killed them! It is all her fault!" another chimed in.
I was totally confused as to why they were rambling.
As soon as I managed to get to the front, I saw several dead bodies lying on the floor.
I froze, feeling shortness of breath as I saw my mother, father, sister, and brother amongst the dead bodies, lying in pools of their blood.
"No! This can't be happening! It is not possible!" I wailed, falling to the floor.
I quickly crawled to where they lay, dark blood on the floor staining my hands and knees. I ignored the pain that coursed through my body from the impact with the gravel on the floor.
Upon reaching my mother, I shoved her. "Mother, wake up! It is me, Nora!" There was no response. Her body was ice cold. I held her hand with both of mine, hoping to offer her warmth, hoping I would get some sort of response from her, but nothing happened.
I rushed to my father and repeated the same thing, but there was no response. My brother and sister were also not responding.
Two men from our pack came and dragged my trembling body away from their corpses.
I saw my world crash before my eyes. No pain compared to that of losing a loved one. My heart was constricting with pain.
I clutched at it with both my hands. Who did this? Who killed my parents and siblings?
~Nora"Traitor! You are a traitor, Nora!" I heard a familiar voice growl from behind. When I turned, my eyes, tired from spent tears, met with those of Beta Ken. He was my father's best friend and right-hand man. He also was my best friend's dad. I saw Grace standing just behind him, her eyes filled with animosity towards me."Traitor! How could you, Nora? How could you do this to us!? Your parents and siblings are dead all because of you!" he snapped angrily. His eyes were red, evidence that he had been grieving. I could see blood dripping from his side, onto the floor. He was bleeding; whoever killed my family must have done that to him.I was confused at his words. I managed to rise to my feet as I stuttered in a trembling voice, "W..what are you talking about, Beta?""You killed your family, Nora! You gave the map to the location of the hidden treasures to that boy! His father did this using one of our ancient relics! He came here with your boyfriend and a powerful witch who wield
~NoraFive years later,"Doctor Nora, a patient was just rushed into the hospital, he is unconscious. He bled profusely before first aid arrived at the scene of the accident; he has lost a lot of blood," one of the nurses rushed to me."Take me to the patient," I instructed. She nodded frantically and darted straight towards one of the wards on the second floor, which I happened to be on. I followed hot on her heels. When I saw the patient lying on the bed unconscious, he was surrounded by some other nurses and his family. I checked his vitals and noticed the wound he had by the side of his stomach had ruptured his large intestine. That was critical; he needed surgery immediately."He needs surgery! Prepare the theater immediately!" I ordered."Okay, doctor!" the nurses replied and left swiftly for the theater. After about an hour, I was done with the surgery. I removed my scrub outfits and left the theater, flexing my muscles and massaging my neck as I headed back to my office. It ha
~KlausI rose from the bed, feeling very tired. Just as I was about to stand up, a hand held me back, pulling me down to the bed. I rolled my eyes. "Claudia!"Tilting my head in her direction, I growled, "What are you doing here, Claudia? I have told you severally to stop coming to my room at night until we are married?"She sat upright, blinking her eyes as if she were warding off tears. She was at it again, trying to blackmail me emotionally with her tears. "I am your betrothed, Klaus, as I have been for the last few years! I am a woman with needs! Needs to be satisfied. Why do you keep treating me this way?" she sobbed.I yanked my hand from hers. "Just stop it, Claudia. It is too early for these shenanigans. We will have all the time in the world to cuddle and make out when we get married.""That is all you say. I am tired of hearing that excuse, Klaus. I am your chosen mate. There are a lot of men I turned down for you, and that is because I love you!" she yelled.I sat down bes
NoraI stood, staring at Klaus; it all felt like a dream. He had changed so much. He looked more mature than he was five years ago. I still remember that day like it was yesterday, the day he betrayed me, shattering my heart to bits without even an ounce of guilt.I clenched my fist, knowing that I had to put my anger and pain aside if I must perform the task I had been assigned and get my children back safely. Were it not for that, all I wanted was to drive a knife through his heart, to kill him, just as he had killed my parents and siblings. The thought of that night made my eyes well up with unspent tears."Nora? Are you okay?" Klaus asked, seeing my slightly changed demeanor, his voice filled with concern. Of course, I am not okay! I want you dead! I wanted to say but refrained myself from doing so.I gave a slight nod, signifying that I was fine even though I was far from that.I held my head high and stared at him, waiting for the question I knew was going to come.Wearing a co
Nora I was a bit taken aback by his words but quickly recovered. He actually thought me capable of murder? Yeah, right, I scoffed inwardly. After what they did to my family, it shouldn't come as a surprise to me that he would think that. Heck! I have often wished his entire family would be stricken down by lightning or maybe even killed off by the moon goddess for what they did. After that incident, as years passed, my anger and hatred for klaus and his family grew. That wound of losing my entire family at their hands hasn't healed and might never do so. Who knows, if the lives of my children were not at stake, I might have actually entertained the thought of killing his father and making it seem as though he died a natural death. Feed undetectable poison into his blood that would snuff the life out of him very slowly. How would they ever suspect I did it? I sighed. Unfortunately, given the circumstances, I won't do any of that, and I had to make him understand that. Narrowing m
~NoraKlaus cast her a look, one that was not so friendly, making me understand their relationship might have its struggles, not that it was any of my business."What are you doing here, Claudia? And who said you can interrupt me when I am having a meeting with a guest?" Klaus snapped, clearly not wanting the young fair lady to be there. Her name was Claudia? Nice.I glanced at her one more time and could see the hurt in her widened eyes. She must have been surprised by the way Klaus had spoken to her, but something tells me this is not the first time. Her next words confirmed it."You can't keep doing this to me, Klaus! I am your betrothed, soon to be Luna! At least I deserve some respect from you, especially in front of strangers!" she shrieked angrily. His words must have really gotten to her. My mind flashed back to that night in the woods just outside his house when he had said the most hurtful words to me without batting an eye, showing me an entirely different side to him, a s
NoraI blinked, my eyes still fixed on the screen as I read the content of the message."Is there a problem, Nora?" I hear Klaus say, his voice pulling me from my dazed state as I glanced up at him. I shook my head slightly and stuttered, "Not at all."He narrowed his eyes in disbelief, "Are you sure?"I cleared my throat in a bid to get a little composure. "I am fine, Klaus."Averting my gaze to the bed where his father lay, I answered his earlier question, using that as an escape route from the uncomfortable discussion, that was rearing it's head. "Although it won't be easy, I will do my very best to see that your father gets cured, knowing what is at stake." I heaved a sigh and turned around to face him."I would start treatment on him as soon as possible, but first I need to get settled in and fetch some things that I would be needing for his treatment."He nodded in response. "That would be fine. I would show you to the guest room," he said boldly, walking towards the door."I won
KlausIt still feels like a dream, the fact that Nora is here in my pack. When I apologized earlier for what happened in the past, she brushed it off and hit me with a sleek statement, "I don't want to dwell in the past." There's no way that means she has forgiven me, and frankly, I don't blame her as I wouldn't be so quick to forgive if I were in her shoes. If only she knew that things were not as they seemed, that there was more to everything that happened than meets the eye, then maybe, just maybe, she would approach things differently.I sigh, pushing my thoughts aside as I take long strides towards the entrance of the house with Nora and one of my guards following behind.Just as I'm about to make my way through the entrance of the building, Justin appears with a smirk on his face.He greets me before his eyes rest on Nora. When he asks who she is, I decide to introduce them to each other.Unfortunately, when I introduce Nora to him, he has a shocked expression on his face, one t
NoraWe all arrived at Jessica’s house about three hours later with the help of Frank's contact, who created a barrier into the human world. As soon as Frank heard what happened, he left everything he was doing and rushed to Klaus’ pack immediately.“Where do we go from here? How do we even know where she has taken them?” Klaus asked, pacing around the front yard of Jessica's house, visibly frustrated.Grace and Beta Ken were standing by the doorstep, Aunt Kat and Frank were by my side. Everyone was quite troubled about what was going on.Aunt Kat turned to me, “Nora, I don't know where your children are, but one thing I do know is that you have the power to find them, especially now that you have the ancient relic…” At her words, Klaus’ head snapped quickly in my direction before he rushed towards me.“Nora… you heard what your aunt said, you can find them… please find our kids! Locate where she has taken them,” he urged. I could sense the fear in his voice. I was scared too. My hea
NoraSo this is what all this was about? The reason she was doing all this, causing so much havoc, was because she wanted her daughter to be with Klaus?Wait…if that was the case, then why did they want Klaus dead too? Unless…“Yes, Claudia is my daughter, and I initially wanted her to be with Klaus, but you were in the way!” she said the last part a little scornfully as she glared daggers at me.She sighed, her anger seemingly reducing as she glanced at Kristopher with admiration in her eyes. “When Kristopher came with me, all that changed. I decided to go along with the person I knew would provide my daughter with the kind of life she truly deserves rather than leave her to someone who cared nothing about her existence,” she glared at Klaus as she said her last words.Smiling at me, she added, “It was a good trade in the end, one brother for the other.”Kristopher stepped forward, looking as impatient as could be. “Now you have your answer…it is time to get down to the business of
KlausI could see my father in the corner of the room, crying his eyes out. I was still in shock at the fact that Kristopher, my twin brother who was supposed to be dead, was standing a few centimeters in front of me, in the flesh.“We had buried him. This makes no sense. How is he still alive?” I thought. My brain was processing a lot of thoughts at once until it finally settled on one.“Yes…that had to be it. The person standing before us isn’t Kristopher. He is fake! The witch had shapeshifted someone to look like my brother, maybe to manipulate my father.”The thought of that made bile rise to my throat as I saw my father crying.“Why, Kristopher? Why did you choose this path?” my visibly broken father asked amidst tears.Kristopher's laughter rumbled, filling the entire room. I could recognize that laughter anywhere. I had lived with the owner of it for more than twenty years until his demise. That definitely belonged to my brother.“How is he even still alive?” Justin mind-linke
KlausI really didn't know who my father had in mind, but the look on his face suggested he was most certainly sure the person he was going to mention was the culprit.“Aurora… I believe she is the one,” he said confidently.Nora looked at me in surprise, as though asking if my father expected them to know who Aurora was. Her Aunt Kat, on the other hand, gritted her teeth like she knew who was being spoken of.I was utterly confused, just like the rest of the people in the room, but before I could ask my father to explain further, Beta Ken asked, “Aurora the witch?”My father simply nodded, his gaze on him.“The same person that helped you kill Nora's family?” he asked again in disbelief.“That is correct… I had wondered what the person wanted with the relic in the first place and how they even knew I still had it.” He glanced at each of us and revealed, “Aurora is the only one who knows I secretly hid that ancient relic away over there behind this room.” He pointed at a small door
NoraBeta Ken and Grace refused to go back home. They both decided to stay at my place. I had told them I was just fine being with Aunt Kat, but they refused. In Beta Ken's words, “Don’t misunderstand us, Nora. We didn’t decide to stay because we feel you won’t be okay by yourself.” He wore a surprised look on his face as though he was asking what in God's name would make me think that. “I am pretty sure you are very excited right now. By that, I mean very happy and nervous at the same time because the moment we have all been waiting for is almost here.”He looked down at his daughter and then at me as he continued, “Grace and I would love to be here for every moment of it. Isn’t that right, sweetheart?”Grace tapped his side gently. “You are absolutely right, Dad. I would love to witness the release of my baby. I want to be here to soak in all the excitement that comes with finding out Nora is finally free from the clutches of this wicked kidnapper.” She turned her gaze to me as she
NoraThe long-awaited day has finally arrived. I got a text message a few days ago from an anonymous sender, commending me on how well I had done in rejecting Klaus while also reminding me that, to get my child, they were expecting to hear news of Klaus’ death. Well, that was going to happen today.Klaus ingested the contents of the potion a few hours ago and would soon drop dead for at least 24 hours, which was enough time for everything that needed to be done.A few hours later, I was with my aunt, Grace, and Beta Ken when Justin called. I immediately answered it.“Nora, Klaus has fallen into a deep slumber…he looks pale and very much dead,” I could detect some level of fright in his voice as he continued, “Hope this is just temporary as you have said,” he added. My eyes flew up to my aunt's face, and she rolled her eyes, “He wouldn't die if that is what you are asking,” she said almost indifferently.“Nothing will happen to Klaus, Justin…he will be fine in about 24 hours,” I reassu
Klaus“I warned you, Klaus! I told you that woman is no good! To think I even started believing in the idea of both of you being together… I must…!” my father had been ranting ever since we got inside.Justin was still gobsmacked. He couldn't believe what was going on. He was, in fact, looking at me suspiciously because the way I had acted outside was quite different from the way I was acting now.I knew it was time to tell them all that was happening, but I needed my father to calm down first. He was really agitated. I wouldn't be able to get a word in with the way he was moving.“This is the second time I am getting humiliated in front of my friends! All because of my child!” he snapped, banging his hand on the couch as he glared at me. “How did you not know this was going to happen, Klaus?”Finally, he was giving me a chance to talk. But before I could even get a word in, Justin added, “Yes, Klaus? How didn't you know this was going to happen?” He cocked a brow as if asking me to s
NoraNow at home with my aunt, Grace, and Beta Ken, I still can’t believe I had been the one who said all those things unflinchingly to Klaus.“You are a badass actress, Nora,” Grace lauded, biting down on an apple as she munched.“I know, right?” her father added, smiling at me. “For a moment, I thought you meant every single word you said.”“Well, she should have!” my aunt chipped in, her voice hard. I knew she had not fully come to terms with the fact that our revenge mission against Klaus's family was suddenly supposed to be over. She had only reluctantly agreed but still harbored resentment towards them, especially Alpha Raphael. I knew it was going to take time for her to heal from what happened.I decided to change the topic to something else as her bitter words had settled in the air, providing a weird tension no one knew how to diffuse.“Is anyone else hungry? I am starving,” I said, rising to my feet. It was already 12 am.As soon as I stormed out of the field, Grace, my chie
KlausI woke up feeling very edgy. Today is the day of my supposed marriage to Nora. My father has been rather too excited about it.I have seen him having several phone calls, inviting his friends from far and near, telling them his son was getting married for real this time and explaining the reason the previous one didn't work out, which according to him was because he wanted to force me into marrying a woman I didn't love. But things were different this time as I was getting married to the woman of my dreams.Everything has been put in place. Justin has been running helter-skelter, getting things ready for the big event. He even went to our friend's bar and contracted him to be the one to supply all the drinks that would be used for the ceremony. When I asked how much they had both agreed it would cost, he had looked at me as though I had grown two heads, “Bro, you really think I would let you pay for the drinks at your wedding?” he chuckled, “Chill bro, I got this one.”Again, I
