A DANGEROUS Game

**Zora's POV**

I sat across from Lucien, watching as he fumed with anger. He had his heart set on winning the contest for the beta position, but Damon had proven to be a more formidable opponent. I knew he would be upset, but I didn't expect him to be this angry.

"We can't let this setback discourage us," I said in a low voice. "We need to come up with a new plan, something that will give us an advantage over Elora."

Lucien nodded, his expression still sour. "But what can we do? Damon has the support of the pack, and Elora is more popular than ever."

I took a deep breath and leaned forward, my eyes fixed on Lucien's. "We don't need the support of the pack. We just need to take out the beta first. Now that Damon has won, he is going to be her strength. We will take him out. And as for Elora, we'll make sure no one remembers her name once we're on the throne."
