ASHE

I found Aodh, sitting regally at the top of Mint’s mountains. A throne made of stone. Cold and sharp just like the god of the underworld.

His face was dark and impassive. The hatred inside him poured out and I could feel his disgust with this realm hanging in the air.

“You dare come before me halfling.” He sneers as I make my presence known.

I brush off his rude remark. His power has no hold over me.

“How long will you keep the Moon Goddess imprisoned?” I watch Aodh's expressions carefully, but he gives nothing away.

“Until I get what I want.” He remarks with a flat tone after a moment of silence.

“Don’t be coy with me youngling. You are in my realm now.” I snarl back. A little of my beast showing. “You forget your henchmen are dead. My Knights still live.”

“I will kill them!” He pounds his large fist against the stone throne, stating a matter of fact, his red eyes holding no lies.

“For what? Because Inanna had been promised to you by her father centuries long before? The

Finally, I posted the Epilogue! Hopefully, this gives you a little more clarification on Ashe and Ascena's goal from the very beginning and how Lamia played into the story from the very beginning. And now what is to come of Lamia and Kellen? And the child Seneca!!! (note the anagram) The bonus chapter for book seven will be posted this week also. I can tell you there will be a time jump, and we will see a lot more of Travis. Is Oliver going to come back? Maybe...

JONDA One Month ago. I left the Kodiak Kingdom early today, not wanting to outstay my welcome. I was disappointed but not surprised that Morgan couldn’t reverse the curse. I had hoped to gain my wolf fully. They say you can’t miss what you never had, but that’s an outright lie. I had a wolf, one that was bound inside me, one that was there but I couldn’t communicate with her. I couldn’t shift and I couldn’t use her abilities. I was almost as good as human. I was faster than a human, had better hearing, and healed better than a human could. But I wasn’t a shifter, not even close. I longed for the day I could meet my wolf and shift. Run through the forest and feel the wind in her fur. It never bothered me as much as it has since I met Mike. The Royal Beta to the werewolf kingdom. I know we weren’t fated mates, if we were then he and his wolf would know. But that didn’t stop us from falling in love. He wanted to take me as his chosen mate, and I wanted that too. Almost as much as I

LYRICI look around, peering down one end of the street and up the other. The last thing I need is for anyone to see me. Us.I grip the tiny hand in mine a little tighter. I raise my other hand and knock on the worn and cracked door, quickly glancing around at our surroundings again. For the millionth time. All the while listening for movement from the other side of the door.I knock again when I hear nothing. Tap, tap, tap. My nerves ramp up as I wait, listening, looking, “Hurry up” I whisper, sighing on the exhale. The bite of cold nipped at us as we waited for the door to open. The snow in this part of the borough was thick and more was falling. The damp air seeped into our skin through the layers of clothing, chilling us right down to the bone.I would give anything to curl up in front of a fire with a warm drink, cozy up with my favorite person in the realm. Anything was better than having to drag us from the comfort and safety of our home out into the bitter cold night. But I di

MIKE I woke this morning to the most beautiful girl in the realm, made sweet passionate love to her, went down to the training grounds, worked out, showered, and then headed up to my office. The day was starting out like it always should. Fan-frickin-tastic. What more could I ask for? Aside from the usual patrol issues, a rogue here or there encroaching on the capital territory, and the day-to-day business activities, I was knee-deep in plans for Tala’s crowning ceremony. It was only five days away and details needed to be finalized. Thankfully Jonda and my mother had most of it handled. Tala was nearing her due date, so my girl and mother stepped in to help plan the second most important day in the New Moon Kingdom. I had hired Rhett and his enforcers as extra security for the pre-party ball and the actual ceremony. You couldn’t be too cautious when it came to crowning a future Queen. Her security and the Kings, of course, took priority over everything else. The knock on my ope

JONDA I’m an Alpha’s daughter for goddess' sake. Something I never thought I would be doing was pouring over tablecloths, decorations, and seating for a sister I never knew I had up until six months ago. Not even for me. Then again, it’s not every day your sister is being crowned the Queen of wolves. I just hoped all this hard work would pay off and everything would go perfectly for Tala and Kellen. I rub my palms over my eyes and exhale an exhausted breath “I think I need a break,” I tell Oliva, Mike's mother. “All these colors are giving me a headache.” Oliva laughs at my outspoken stress. “I guess after all these years I’m just used to it.” She shrugs, her blues glazing with a faraway look. No doubt recalling a memory from her days as the female Beta to the late Queen Sarah. From what I understood they were all close and the death of Kellen’s parents hit everyone hard. They had touched the lives of their people in so many ways that it had a lasting effect on the Kingdom. Too

LYRIC I rub my temples, my eyes straining on the blueprints that were laid out in front of me. How Miko got a hold of these blueprints was another question. They should have helped me map out my plan to retrieve the crown, but they were useless. This job was impossible. For a second, I wondered if it was too late to run. To grab my son and Aunt Lizzy and just run. Just like she and I did five years ago on my sixteenth birthday. I close my eyes and dig the heels of my palms into them. A poor attempt at trying to block out the memories of that night. The screams, the blood, the carnage. The annihilation of my pack. Tears gather in my eyes, and I pull at the skin around them willing the tears to stay where they are. No help came for us. We were a small pack on the outskirts of the Kingdom, independent from the King's rule. Therefore, we had no backup. By the time my father would have been able to call for backup from our allies - it was too late. The rogue king and his men were qu

MIKE The sound of chirping birds breaks into the most delicious dream I was having. I almost groan out with annoyance and screw my eyes shut trying to go back to sleep and willing my dream to commence so I can finish it. My groan turns into one of pleasure as I realize I wasn’t dreaming. The tickling of a tongue running up my hard shaft has me clenching my fists with gratification. The warm breath of a mouth fans across the head of my cock, the mouth closing around the tip and sucking me in. “Fuck,” I grind out, the sensation almost too much. I open my eyes and lift the sheet to see a mass of chestnut hair begin to bob up and down as Jonda sucks my cock like a pro. “Fuck, my love. This is by far my favorite way to wake up.” I gasp as she takes me deeper and sucks harder and faster. My one hand slides beneath the covers to grasp at her hair. “That’s it, love, let me fuck that mouth.” Jonda moans and the vibration sends a jolt of tingles to the base of my spine and my balls tighten

MIKE On a normal week, I was scheduled to lead training today. However, with all the extra checks and security I needed to do, I passed that task off to my father. I was meant to meet Damon in an hour and go over our security systems and camera placements once more. Then Tyrone and I would go over our patrol rosters with lead warriors from the Elite division. They would be working with Rhett and his Enforcers. With an hour to spare I head over to one of my favorite places. A place where everyone was happy to see me and welcomed me with the best smiles in the whole realm. “Beta Mike!” A chorus of voices rang out as I stepped into the room. In no time my legs were attacked by a dozen pups, ranging between ages three and six. “Have you come to play with us?” A little girl by the name of Darla asks me with hope in her eyes. I chuckle as all the kids start getting excited, “Not today pups, I’m in charge of organizing the Queen's coronation,” Some gasp in excitement and others groan in

Thank you for reading The Beta and the Jewel Thief - Book 6 of the Delta's Daughter series. I would like to kindly ask you all to leave me a review on the about book page. This helps me as an author and my stories get noticed on the app. Just a few words and a great rating would be appreciated. Now I know I left this book with another cliffhanger... You still love me I know it. ;)I also know there are a few questions. Not everything could be explained, the story had well superseded any of the other books in regards to word count. In the beginning, it was always thought that the story was more about Lamia and Kellen's wolves than it was about them. Throughout the series, it has been hinted at that Inanna was always promised to a god of the underworld by her father (Aodh). It seems as though Ashe and Ascena (who is originally Nessie, Inanna's daughter) had this planned from the beginning. To have the next immortal child come into this world. In book three Kellen was given his life b

LYRIC The aftermath of war was something to behold. The atmosphere was thick with melancholy. A pensive sadness gripped each and every one of us. Were we happy that the fighting had stopped? Of course. But no one would cheer or rejoice. There would be no celebration. Because we didn’t win. We were lucky. Those of us that survived. We had lost many. On all fronts. Including the Changelings and rogues who ended up joining forces against this other realm god with us. Under the command of the rogue, they called Oliver. Mike begins to take control of New Moon's army. Shouting out commands. Note retreats to the back of my mind, not far, but far enough to rest. The aches in my bones set in, and the sting of wounds where they had already begun to heal, linger. The dark-skinned werecat comes to stand next to me, She points the short sword in her hand across the jungle plane to where King Mathias stands with a woman whose skin is as dark as night, her hair a flowing white, shining like th

TALA Winds whipped through the trees as night fell across New Moon. My wolf, Mora, had been roused all day, feeling uneasy about her mate being so far from us. It had been snowing for hours, mixed with lashing rain. Connor slept soundly whereas Jonda’s child was restless much like myself as I kept checking in on her every hour. Jonda was only down the hall, Olivia and Lizzy stayed with the child. *Tala!* Olivia pushed through a mental connection. Her voice was rushed and distraught making my wolf’s ears perk and fur hackle. Without thinking I scrambled to my feet from where I sat by the window in Connor’s nursery. My gut was twisting with dread and a feeling of dread in the pit of my stomach. Olivia’s voice worried me. I raced out of our suite and down the hall. Greeting Olivia at the door to Jonda’s room. “What’s wrong? Is Jonda, okay? The baby…” “She won’t come down. She’s gone mad! Her marks!” Oliva pants in a panic. “The guards they tried…” Without waiting I brush past her

SHADOW My beasts begin to growl and shake. Their snarls and attention concentrated on the young females that cross the field we currently march across. The darkness curls around my veins and I hush the beasts to settle. “Patience my wild ones,” I say as the females draw near to the front of my army's line. Just over the crest of the hill, where the jungle meets the dense forest, the warriors of Cambiador lay in wait for me. I can feel my son's blood, his magic lingers in the air, it calls to me. And so do these three young females who approach. It would be favorable for the Grimalkin to side with me, but that ship has sailed. And unfortunately, he will die alongside his brethren. “Master,” The young girls reach me and kneel down. From the pocket, of one she pulls out an object and instantaneously the darkness unravels and travels down my arms to my fingers. I barely notice Olivia and Lizzy behind me as I rush to Jonda’s aid. I fling the door open and Connor begins to wail. My eyes land on my sister and I almost drop my son at the sight. She’s doubled over clutching her large stomach, blood trickling from between her legs, soaking the purple gown she wears. “Jonda!” I cry out with alarm and concern. Immediately I link the pack doctor to come quickly. “Oh my!” Olivia exclaims behind me with shock. Followed by a sharp gasp from Lizzy. I hand Connor to Olivia, “I already linked the doctor.” I say with a rushed breath, quickly crossing the room to my sister's aide. Lightening flashes in the evening sky, illuminating the room and Jonda. That’s when I see the marks on her body begin to move and swirl, crawling across her skin. Becoming darker by the moment. “Jonda. Come lay down please.” I tell her

LYRIC Some drive and others run in their wolf form alongside our convoy as we rush towards Cambiador. The trip takes two days from where we were in Lewe to reach their borders. Kellen and Mike keep in constant communication with Rhett and Alpha Travis who are already at the border of the werecat kingdom. The tension in the car is palpable. All of us wondering if this is it. If this is when we face Senko and his army. The warriors are in good spirits, for some, it is not their first battle. For others, it would be a first. Their lack of worry is what has Note and I on edge. After what I witnessed at the Golden Circle Pack - I want to scream at them. I want to pound it into their heads that they should be afraid of this Shadow Witch. Of the creatures and not quiet humans he has under his command. I’m looking out the window from the back seat of the car I share with Kellen and Mike. I tune out their conversation and think of Zane. It was him I was fighting for and our future. Maybe M

MIKE I ran in my wolf's form, letting Duke take charge and lead the way through the kingdom's forest. We knew these woods like the back of our hands or paws. Could probably navigate the terrain with our eyes closed because we had run through them so much. Duke speeds up when catches Lyric‘s scent. We were spending as much time together as we could. Kellen and I were leaving in a couple of days with three teams of elite warriors heading to the border of Lewe to look for the compound. Rogue would join us, and Tyron would stay back to protect the kingdom with my father. Usually, it Would be the Delta going but for unknown reasons he wanted Tyron to stay back and man the palace. Lyric was also staying behind. On one hand, I was happy for Lyric to not be in the thick of a fight, on the other I didn’t like the idea of being away from her. It was making me apprehensive just the thought of leaving her. Duke catches up with Note and nips at her hind legs playfully. We had been out here for
