I woke up to Doctor Simmons standing over me and my mate looking down at me with deep concern. I asked, “So how are my x-rays doctor?” He replied, “I was just telling the Beta that your ribs are healed, mostly. Enough that you could go home if you can keep from doing anything strenuous and not pick up anything over five pounds.” I asked, “Five pounds? That will not be easy, but I can do that. It has now been twenty years since that awful day. We have had so much happen since then. Kenny took his rightful place as Alpha of the Red Moon Pack when he was eighteen and Kyle took his place as Beta of Cold Springs pack at the same age.
