Chapter 36

After an amazing afternoon of watching movies, snacking and eating junk food, then a steamy evening in bed, I fell asleep in total contentment, snuggled close to my mate. I woke this morning before dawn, took my shower, then went to the kitchen to make breakfast. I made strawberry waffles with sausage and put them on plates with syrup, coffee and milk on a tray and took it to Joshua in bed. I woke him up and sat with him while I ate and drank my coffee with him.

I asked, “Do you like the waffles?” He nodded with his mouth full, “They’re great.” I laughed, “I’m glad you like them.” He asked, “Are you ready for today?” I nodded, “Yeah. I really hope I don’t get challenged, but it sounds like it’s part of the plan.” He replied, “I understand.
