Chapter 41

Carsen's POV

I did not know what to do because the feelings I was having after kissing her were a bit too dangerous for her.

I did not want to hurt her or do anything further with her in the office, so I had to send her out.

She wanted more of me, but I could not risk it at all. I was on the verge of marking her, so I had to send her away.

As she left disappointed, I did not know what to do; all I was doing was trying to protect her from myself.

I sat down thinking of what I could have done and also trying to convince myself that I was not too harsh to her.

I did not want to hurt her feelings on purpose; all I did was protect her. As I sat in my seat, the only thing that kept ringing in my brain was to spend a quality and unforgettable moment with her.

"You keep hurting her feelings with every single action you take. You were the one to make the first move. You have always been the one, so why torment her unnecessarily?" Rowan started judging me.
