Chapter 21

Marcie's POV

After we broke the bond, he went ahead to tell me certain things that I would not try to do.

I guess he was just saying it because he was in really tight corners. I cannot imagine myself telling him that he did something that I do not like to me.

What if he was not saying it from his heart? He would just use it as an opportunity to oppress me more as he always did.

He had always wanted to see me angry, but this time around, he acted differently, and I felt and saw in his eyes that he did not want to see me cry.

After our conversation, he carried the papers of the interview along. According to his words, he did not want me to leave his company.

I was on the verge of leaving his company, but seeing him in my house actually changed my mind.

All I knew was that I would not yet conclude because I could not trust him fully.

I have gone through a lot of things ever since I came into his company, and every single frustration I had was actually from him alone.
