Chapter 36: A Feral Child with No Father

Yun Muxi was startled at the way the two of them looked at her as if they saw a ghost. She asked with much confusion, "Why are you guys looking at me like that?"

Seventh Brother regained his composure and acted as if nothing happened. "Haha, why did you call me?"

Yun Muxi answered casually, "I want to ask you where are the plates. I made spaghetti, the food is ready."

Seventh Brother and Gong Yu let out a sigh of relief after hearing that. Seventh Brother then walked into the kitchen and pulled out some plates from a drawer.

Yun Muxi made spaghetti, a salad, and creamy mushroom soup. Although they were simple, they looked no different from those served in restaurants.

Seventh Brother could not help but compliment her. "Wow, Xiao Xi, your cooking is really good! Whoever marries you is a lucky dude!"

After speaking, he looked at Gong Yu with a meaningful gaze.

Yun Muxi remained silent and only smiled.

Seventh Brother seemed to have thought of something and ran into the kitchen. He returned with three wine glasses and a bottle of red wine. He said excitedly, "We've successfully solved our problem today, let's have a toast to celebrate!"

Uncontrollably, his gaze moved towards Yun Muxi, who was standing at the balcony hanging clothes. His gaze was filled with love and desire...

Niannian's soft voice brought him back to reality. "Daddy Mou is the best!"

Mou Yichen stifled a laugh and looked down at Nianian, who was still in his embrace. "Niannian, why don't you look at what Daddy Mou brought back for you?"

After finish speaking, he pulled out a wrapped box from his pocket. It was a box wrapped in a delicate wrapping papaer with a bow tie on top. They were all in pastel pink color, exactly the way to a girl's heart. Niannian loved it so much and would not let it go after taking it from him. She was already in love with it before opening the box!

Niannian tilted her head and looked at Mou Yichen with her big twinking eyes. Curious, she asked, "Daddy Mou, what's inside this?"

Mou Yichen pinched her chubby cheeks lovingly. He laughed, "Open it and see for youself!"

At this moment, Yun Muxi returned from the balcony. She saw Niannian sitting in his embrace, holding on to the pretty gift box. She said to Mou Yichen with a tint of helplessness, "Yichen, you dote on her too much, always returning with a present everytime you go on a business trip. You're spoiling her!"

Mou Yichen did not take it seriously. He laughed, "What's wrong with it? Niannian is so cute, if I don't spoil her, who will? I like her, I'm willing to spoil her!"

Niannian was a little unhappy and pouted her lips as she complained to Yun Muxi, "It doesn't matter if mummy doesn't buy presents for me anymore, but now you're not letting Daddy Mou buy presents for me too!"

She carefully opened the gift box, and found a small white bear lying inside. It was so cute! Yun Muxi saw the bear and her heart shrunk. This bear was identical to the one that Mou Yichen once gave her! It was a pity that the bear probably did not exist anymore...

Pieces of her memory came flooding in again and Yun Muxi instantly found herself drowning in it, as if that little bear was a turning point in her life. That little bear changed her whole life, be it dramatically or otherwise. Eventually, it left an unerasable deep scar in her heart. Mou Yichen saw that Yun Muxi blanked out while staring at the little bear. He laughed, "I saw this at Country M, I found it cute and thought that Niannian would definitely like it! Besides, it also looks like the one I got you last time!"

Yun Muxi recovered and answered casually, "Yea! It does!"

Mou Yichen asked causally, "I don't see the bear anymore, do you not like it?"

Instantly, Yun Muxi was filled with awkwardness. She explained, "Oh no! I liked it a lot, but I lost it when I was moving. I'm so sorry for losing your present!"

Mou Yichen stifled a laugh. "Haha... it's okay! It's a pity because the bear was a limited edition, it can't be bought anymore! If you liked it I can buy one more, but I'm afraid I can no longer afford it!"

Yun Muxi said calmly, "It's okay!" "I'm already an adult, a mother to a child, it would be too childish of me! Haha..."

Mou Yichen was concerned and asked, "Niannian, do the kids at school call you that?"

Mou Yichen saw the situation but Yun Muxi's finger was already bleeding heavily before he even finished saying "Be careful!". He set Niannian aside and leaped towards Yun Muxi. He stooped down, lifted her finger, and put it in his mouth!

The warm and wet sensation hit her heart directly when the tip of his tongue touched her finger. Yun Muxi panicked and quickly withdraw her finger. However, Mou Yichen tugged onto her arm tightly. "Don't move!"

After sucking the fresh blood off her finger, the taste of it triggered Mou Yichen's heart like a ripple effect. At that instant, he wanted to embrace this woman that he loved and never let go of his hand!

Mou Yichen gazed intently at her and did not even attempt to stop his burning affection for her from pouring out.
