Sending final goodbyes to Ragnila after persuading her to run for her dear life I trotted down the devil's den. Again. Unlike the last time, creeping back here only sent a chill down my spine. This time I was scared. What if something bad had happened to her. I could never forgive myself. Fenrel really had no heart. He was more cold than an ice. He killed for fun, destroys lives mainly because he could. I was starting to know him better now. If only I had known more from the beginning. He was already waiting for me at the entrance, smiling mischievously. The last time I didn't have any plan. Now, there was just one goal. To kill him!

Spreading his arms widely as one does to greet one's beloved."Welcome back my dear Kerik" he teased, coming closer to me.

He really wanted to die." Where's she? "

Three more feet left, and it would all be over. His eyes were already dead and every shade the sky possessed from dawn until dusk, in his dead eyes, they were black. Hispupils exploded to fill so much of the eyes. I remembered when they probably used to blink, to sit up and laugh and live life normally like humans were supposed to. But that time, he wouldn't. His eyes were just so still. After what seemed to be for eternity, he finally wobbled to my front. Then just as fast as the blink of an eyes, he lunged what seemed to had been an attack on me. At first, it wasn't too much of a chaos since he would be making a direct contact with him and we would all be happy at the end. But things began to grow out of hands. His firm grasp were the first strangle I felt on my neck, till his other hand scrolled through my body, trying to place my body calm as if one was about to be used for a sacrifice. Then I saw why as soon as the slimy snakes on his head stood up. Don't get me wrong h

"So, you killed the god?""Shall we get over to the next place? The whole point of the mission gave me a headache. A painful headache that you have no idea how to get rid of, you can't cut your head off just because you wanted to cure your headache! Although I wished I could just fill that, only if I wouldn't die.You know that feeling, when wish you could just stop something but you dare not stop. You see, there's a certain level of tiredness that equates to insanity; for me it was when I'd like to temporarily dislocate my spirit from my body, as if I could ask the universe to take me out for just a short while, let mysoul go wherever souls go to be. I'm a fairlybrave person, I am, but sometimes I just didn't wanted to feel the process of recovery all over again. I knew I had to wake up feeling okay in the morning. I would, but it was simply a level of worn-out-ness that hurts. But I knew I wasn't tired physically. It was the mind a

"Before we get on with anything, we need to first off know what our problems are." Mr. Big baby, Peter Toski offered in the throne roomas we gathered together. We had no choice than to create a better Talot for the sake of the people. For that, we all needed to work hand in hand as one. And of course, we had to literally be one for us to achieve anything good, even if we wouldn't get along on a normal day. Plus in reality, I wasn't really left with much of a choice in the first place, especially since Mona and Lily were out of town."We don't have any problem really, Peter. Just get the bloody cure for the septic and save Talot." Tobin quickly interrupted almost before Peter could finish with his statement. "So maybe we should think well before we speak.""Hmph! I just thought-""You thought nothing you big baby." He cuts in, without even letting Peter finish his whining in peace."Quiet you two." I felt a

"True. The earlier the better." Tobin agreed.I sighed, wanting to agree with them but weighed down by the thought of so many other things. "We also have to settle with the other Lords." Even if nobody else would agree with me, I knew that strangely scary looking glare on Tobin's face would one hundred percent understand and agree with me. That was enough already. With him, I could gain enough power and even share with him. Just the thought was enough to drain my heart in the gutter. Remembering the one person I had made my right hand man, the commander of my soldiers. I wondered if it was okay to have someone else in his place only because he was gone. But most importantly, I wished he was just gone for a while, succeeding with his mission. Alive. I remembered him and a smile worked up on my face, only reminding him just how much I missed him.

The tone in her voice alerted nothing but one sense. Danger. I had endangered the lives of others because of my foolish pride. I could have walked away politely, and save others. Tara. But leaving the devil to reign did not fully assure me that my family and friends would be saved."This is your last chance Kerik." She added, then paused. Waiting for me to fully accept to the proposal. My mind raced over a million things. What if I choose this option, and defeating the devil seems more impossible than I'd expect. Then I would never forgive myself. If only I could get more time, more days to puzzle over the prodigious decision. But even if I was opportune to that kind of indulgence, I feared my answer would still remain constant."Yes. That's what I choose. This is what feels best to me, so I've made up my mind." Sir Ayer was dead. Dead! Nobody knew who killed him. No. Everyone pretended like they didn't know his killer. A logical thing to do,if you didn't want to become next. A coward. That was what everybody became. But I wasn't ready to turn into one. I might be sweet, nice and ready to abide to every rules and regulations, but the demon inside me was only sleeping. Not dead. 'Think about your life,is it worth foolishly loosing?' You might want to ask me that. Well is doesn't really feels like I was living. There's just the body, but no life in it.Charging grumpily to the gates of hell, well it wasn't scary at all. I felt no fear,on the contrary all that cluttered up in my lifeless body was this ravaging rage. This time the devil should be scared of me. A powerless, thoughtless, completely hopeless me.I thought there would be a somewhat change in mind as I got to the entrance, but no. Nothing."You there, open up!" If it's

Getting there, a young man covered in full pile of blood was laying helplessly on the ground. His eyes.. Oh his eyes were already so pale that I was starting to doubt whether there was any black left in them. It became so hard to even notice where the wound was from. I couldn't really tell much, but from the looks of it, it looked like he was butchered on purpose. He had been completely rough handled. Poor man. What feared me most was that his soul was already half gone from his body as his body was close to being empty at the moment. It was so scary, yet sad and devastating. I couldn't protect him. All of the happiness inside of me, crumbled away and dissolved into the air like dust. There was a silence to my soul; like I was fall leaves under frost. I felt the chill in my blood, coldness bringing the synapses of my brain to a stand still. Part of it was a pain, yet one I felt I could endure, one I could sleep through night after night without the need of false hope.
